From an early age Roberto had the opportunity to immerse his ears with iconic albums with a transition from rock to electronics. Olmos recognized his introduction to the genre while listening to Depeche Mode and Pink Floyd; this would later make sense when the rhythms of boxes sounded like 4/4 rhythms and would have an impact on his listening style when the C.D. mixes of Sasha&Digweed gave him the inspiration and enthusiasm to be part of this underground movement.
 
Roberto immersed himself in the nightlife and the positive impact of the hard-hitting rhythms as an active participant in the electronic music scene on the border between Mexico and the United States, which pushed him to dive right into being a DJ and emerge from a scene built by strong friendships that became mutual inspirations.

All of his experiences were turned into inspiration to continue dancing and presenting his musical viewpoint to the exploding environment, which ultimately connected with other musical cells and collectives in Mexico such as Ela Music (founder and owner)  and LNSC.

Despite the fact that his current style is focused on futuristic and organic sounds, his inspirations as a DJ have always leaned towards the sophisticated side of house, jazz, and soul.

His focused devotion behind the booth found him a residence at Xfriends in Juarez, transcending numerous prominent bars and clubs around Mexico, including: Hardpop, Bar Americas(Guadalajara), Hookah (Cdmx)Mezcalería Ajijic, Terraza Regina(Cdmx), Foro Normandie (Cdmx),Dolores in Playa del Carmen, Salma Holbox, among others.

He has shared the booth with great artists such as Nick Warren, Guy J, Yokoo, Lost Desert, Ghiz, Blondish , Bill Patrick, Rodriguez Jr, Thugfucker to name a few.

le chat noir was formerly a collaboration between Artur and H.Tor. Their focus and drive were to gather and collect the most innovative house and cutting-edge techno available... LCN established themselves in Los Angeles in the early 2010s.
After time and distance apart, the project came to a halt. Artur has kept the project and since has played in various cities in the US and Mexico under the alias, le chat noir.

 Over the course of 8 eventful years since their genesis as the Droog collective, the Los Angeles-based trio – Andrei, Brett & Justin – have become true Renaissance men of underground dance music. Sprung from their DJ roots in late 90s/early ‘00s, Droog have taken on (nearly) all of the essential mantles: label heads – since 2009 their Culprit outfit has become a real force in the new “Deep” dance music movement; promoters of considerable experience and renown – their party series long a hometown institution, took on a global reach with events spanning Europe and the Americas; and producers – solo or with steady collaborator Inxec, they have infiltrated some of the top dance music labels like Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical, Supernature, Last Night on Earth, Noir and Akbal.  

Droog has now emerged as a touring DJ unit with a suitcase-full of highlights, from 4 appearances at the beloved Fabric in London, the twin Berlin clubbing institutions: Watergate and Renate, and Paris’ legendary Rex to memorable shows in Peru, Australia, Russia, Portugal, Ecuador and beyond.
