For the twenty fifth episode we welcome Jason Szostek aka @b-p-m-f who has been active producing music and as a live act since 1995. Solo as BPMF as well as being 1/3 of the Prototype 909 project and live act.

Also of note alongside John Selway the duo produced seminal electro project Synapse and also   founded the Serotonin label putting out their own music along with releases by diverse acts such as Alex Cortex, Fisherspooner, Autokinetic and Solvent.  I'm very excited to present the first liveset in the series which is a recording of his recent set for Techno-club.net.

For episode thirty I thought I'd change things up a bit. So far the mix series has been focusing on showcasing DJ's that I enjoy what they are doing at a local level here in Australia along with further abroad too. This is the first mix in the series that I have put together myself the recording from a recent visit to Brisbane Meanjin via a live stream from @QUIVR which is a venue, education facility and livestream location all in one. For the thirty sixth episode we invite @noisecasino to provide the soundtrack, who hails from Bogota, Columbia and currently based in Berlin. The mix is a melting pot of bass influenced breakbeats, rhythms and grooves staring at a steady 100bpm slowly working with the tempo as the mix progresses, keeping it modern and engaging which is a nice refreshing change from the more high octane sets I have come across of late. 


This was recorded at the @delphiciris Records launch party, a new label I co-own which was recorded at @kimchirecordz in Berlin.
An excellent soundtrack that paired well with the informal afternoon summer vibe of the launch and was a standout on the day (as were all of the guests). Im happy to have a chance to review the track list to dig into some of the excellent producers and labels that are new discoveries to me also.

For the thirty sixth episode we invite A7K8 to provide the soundtrack, who hails from Glasgow but now resides in Sydney. 
A7K8 has been a keen clubber and dance music enthusiast who for many years has also been spending time refining his production skills working towards his debut release via the Undercurrents Vol 2 out later this month on bass heavyweight Martyn's 3024 label.

​The mix is a great snapshot of his record collection and influences, which is a nice snapshot (or VHS recording) of the influential mix of techno, hardgroove, dub techno, electro and house that was emerging as fresh, exciting and new dance music experiments at the time.

Here is the recording of my 6ish to 8pm set in the courtyard of the Lord Gladstone Hotel here in Sydney. Summer is in full swing here and I embraced the after work vibe and weather I think. With full GOT Music crew in attendance, collaborating with Electro Mondo for a two room affair, overall it was an excellent vibe with the resident dub siren making a smattering of appearances at various points in the recording.

For the forty first episode we invite JUG, an Sydney based Vinyl selector with a deep knowledge of the dance floor along with more esoteric vibrations and grooves to provide the soundtrack.

The mix is like a careful curated excursion incorporating organic psychedelic down tempo moments, that slowly builds up on a journey. Digging deep with  lots of variety - broken, deep, and groove laden. It wouldn't be amiss at a kick on or at a GotMusicCrew event where we had him step up for an afternoon set for Got Music presents Mercury Strut New Years Day 2025.

For the forty first episode we invite Jay White, GOT Music alumni back again, he previously put together Episode 41, this time approaching things from a slightly different angle. I really enjoy JAy's mixes, they more often than not take me down a rabbit hole of new labels and producers that I had not come across and this mix is no different.

The mix is Slow Life Initialising, in his words is the process of embracing a lifestyle that emphasises a more intentional and deliberate approach to daily life, focusing on quality over quantity and slowing down to appreciate the present moment.

I  agree that the mix is embodies this concept, I've had a great couple of listens, while busy with my work day and also will full focus and attention on the speakers. I enjoyed the latter much more and encourage you to do the same.

Stefano has played at festivals in Europe alongside Alex Smoke, Pan Pot, Audio Werner, Cassy, Portable aka Bodycode, Margaret Dygas, Mark Henning, Jacek Sienkiewicz & Lakuti among others. More recently, since relocating to Sydney he has supported Steve Bicknell and Marco Shuttle.

In this mix he steps away from the dance floor, serving up a mix of old and newer organic soundscapes, flourishes of ambient and almost tribal rhythms digging into the past for something suited for a day of rest or after hours when the ears tire from the electronics and desire something a little different.

For the twenty second episode we welcome @feryne,  a Hungarian DJ based in the Netherlands, who has been active DJing since 2005. She has played in many clubs and festivals in Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Romania and France along with the Netherlands. Always keeping busy she has recently launched a new show StopContact on Open Source Radio along with constantly putting together some excellent guest mixes which are well worth checking out. 

For this mix Feryne digs deep into her collection, she showcases modern breakbeats and electro that would suit a dancefloor as much as a home listening experience adeptly balancing energetic tracks and deeper cuts for the first show back after a few months hiatus.

For the twenty third episode we welcome Sydney based DJ and event producer @esteelouderofficial whose musical taste veers towards the darker, sharper end of the spectrum, embracing electro, techno and experimental sounds with an industrial edge. Recently, she has supported names like Paula Temple, Noncompliant, Bloody Mary, Hieroglyphic Being and Lady Blacktronika among others.

Louder serves up a expertly crafted mix that showcases a wide palette of the darker side of dance music incorporating elements of acid, broken beats and EBM energy much like @Controlsydney the series of club nights and podcast she curates which exists to create space for women, queer, trans & non-binary people operating and existing in the electronic music realm.
