Matthew (DJ Special Guessed) grew up on an odd mix of CCM, Rap, Rock, Miami Bass & Jazz. Growing up in Daytona Beach, FL he developed a love for the music of the early Hardcore, Breaks, and House of the 90's Florida Rave scene. Starting on the dance floors of The Coliseum in Daytona and The Edge, (The Club at) Firestone, and Beachum's numerous evolutions in Orlando, he was constantly on the dancefloor (#uprockforever). He started DJ'ing during the Swing re-emergence in the late 90's, working with a tight knit group called the Swing Kats, who also offered instruction in Swing & Ball Room, playing from his collection of Big Band and Jazz records. It wasn't until years of collecting vinyl that he finally began DJing out, playing Breaks and Electro before branching out into Nu-Jazz, House, & Downtempo, with the occasional "Oddities & Such" set which incorporated music from any and every genre from around the globe. With residencies at The Groove & The Love Bar for several years in Daytona Beach, FL, DJ Special Guessed simply went by his real name, Matthew Ford. Known for his complex and long riding mixes - a vinyl purist for most of his time in clubs - Special Guessed's primary purpose for DJ'ing is to share the music he loves. No longer spinning in clubs, his mixes vary from driving basslines that (hopefully) make you wanna find the closest dancefloor to move your hind parts, to chilled out mixes that pair well with a good glass of wine, a comfy place to rest your hind parts, and better company. Slinging Beats for your Feets, Dancefloors or Comfy Seats the Dr's of Rhythm have done it all since 1991. 2021 was their 30 year anniversary on the turntables and digital decks and what an amazing adventure it has been so far and beyond. Keeping busy working on remixes, mixed compilations and taking time for some Breaks in between, all the while making a wide range of House calls this Dj duo is constantly Steppin' out on the move from one venue to another and holding down residencies wherever there's a dancefloor in distress. Dj Dave Maltais and Dj Tim Baker have a full range of genres to share with their dancefloors and come with an arsenal of tracks to get everyone's back up off the wall. Also with a combined collection of over 10,000 pieces of vinyl and constantly downloading the latest tracks to stay current these two are sure to surgically move any crowd in the proper direction...

In the beginning, there was the Dr's of Rhythm, and the Dr's of Rhythm had a groove.

And from this groove came the groove of all grooves.

And while one day viciously throwing down on their turntables, the Dr's of Rhythm boldy declared,

"Let there be HOUSE!"
"Let there be DEEP HOUSE!"
"Let there be ACID JAZZ!!"
"Let there be NU JAZZ!"
"Let there be NU SKOOL!"
"Let there be OLD SCHOOL!"
"Let there be WORLD BEAT!"
"Let there be BREAKBEAT!"

and Our Style was born...

"We are, you see,

We are the creators, and this is our Style!

And, in our Style there are many Styles of music.

But, we are not so selfish because once you enter our house it then becomes OUR house and OUR house music!"

And, you see, no one man or woman owns house because house music is a universal language, spoken and understood by all.

You see, house is a feeling that no one can understand really unless you're deep into the vibe of house.

House is an uncontrollable desire to jack your body.

And, as I told you before, this is our house and our house music.

And in every house, you understand, there is a keeper.

The Dr's of Rhythm are the ones who give you the power to jack your body.

The Dr's of Rhythm are the ones who give you the power to do the snake.

The Dr's of Rhythm are the ones who give you the key to the wiggly worm.

The Dr's of Rhythm are the ones who taught you how to walk your body.

The Dr's of Rhythm are the ones that can bring nations and nations of all groovers together under one house.
