Tough Love

This is a song I wrote following a cardiovascular event I had back in 2016. I wrote this as a challenge as part of my stress management course I attended at University Hospital of South Manchester. It was also my first song I sang, so my voice isn't that good. :)

It's a spin-off from 'What do you mean?' by Justin Beiber, I wanted to share my experience when I had the event. Huge thanks go to the folks at UHSM who treated me and got me back into good shape.

I was indecisive of what to do,
I was at the GP, waiting in the queue.
The doctor said to me that I was such fool,
I was rushed to A&E with the ambulance crew!

I had to take my blood tests, tried not to dread.
But the doctor said, 'Sorry, it ain't good news...'.
Tired to take it in, couldn't believe what he said.
I had to make a quick decision, oh...

No time to waste, let's defeat those imbeciles!

Chippin' away through the clog, I remember that feeling,
Finally came out the room, seeing my loving wife.
It has taken a while, the result looks promising,
It’s time to start poppin' those pills and enjoy my second life.
