Hailing from Amsterdam, music has always been a priority in Shinedoe's life as anyone who has been fortunate enough to witness her rocking the booth can attest. Thus it is with great excitement that we welcome her to to our mix of the day series as she shifts through the gears to deliver a fresh set of cuts for us to wrap our ears around.

Mixed in celebration of her return to her label for their 49th release with the 'Waves' EP,  her hour long set of selections have had us thawing out those boogying muscles as we dance around the office and now you can join in the fun. It's no secret that Bicep have been at the top of their game of late and that's not showing any signs of changing. We were lucky enough to catch the duo play all-night-long at Good Room in NYC and when they dropped their Pooley remix, that's when we saw it really work its magic.

Glitzy chord stabs are set against a thick and chunky bassline while the percussion scuttles along in the background and although it's more reserved than their recent output, it goes down in the rave and still keeps that textbook Pooley feel intact.

Top-notch DJs and producers are often known for their globe-trotting ways, but Magda takes it to another level. Born in Poland, she came of age in Detroit and was eventually adopted by Richie Hawtin and the rest of the Minus Records crew. Now living in Berlin, she's been in the news as of late after the (somewhat surprising) announcement that she was leaving Minus after more than a decade and instead focusing on Items & Things, a label she runs with Marc Houle and Troy Pierce. Although the split was amicable, it does represent the start of an important new chapter in the techno veteran's career, so we figured that now would be a good time for her to put together an exclusive mix for the XLR8R podcast series. True to form, Magda has delivered a deep, complex mix that often features three our four tracks playing at once while she combines techno—of both the pulsing Detroit and minimal variety—with bits of house, disco, and a few other surprises. Magda's future may be wide open, but there is little doubt that her DJ abilities are still on-point.
