Foremost international techno outlet Drumcode is delighted to announce the release of its next full-length album, ‘Satellite’, by enduring Italian techno talent Sam Paganini.

Though he has been active since the mid nineties, recent years have been hugely successful for Sam, with searing techno EPs coming on revered labels such as Riche Hawtin’s Plus8, Sven Vath’s Cocoon and of course, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. In his time he has been responsible for underground hits like ‘Zoe’, ‘Polyester’ and ‘Fire In My Arms’, all of which demonstrate his dynamic understanding of sexy, dark and hypnotic techno grooves and at the same time have earned him plenty of great Beatport chart positions as well as respect from the best in the game.

Incredibly, ‘Satellite’ is Sam’s first full-length album. Informed by his DJ gigs at legendary places like Berghain in Berlin and Cielo in New York, the album starts with a dystopian bit of sonic scene setting, as if a space ship is charging up ready to take off.

From there it’s a case of getting straight down to business. ‘Another Chance’ is a spacey bit of cantering techno and ‘White’ is rooted in devastating kick drums and is riddled with serrated synth lines that build lots of great techno pressure. ‘Down’ is an undulating bit of funky techno complete with choice vocal flourishes and tracks like ‘Lotus’ are prime offerings from the deeper end of the scale.

No two tracks sound the same on Satellite: Sam is always teasing out a new bit of texture, nailing a slightly different vibe or exploring different amounts of light and dark throughout the course of this most excellent album. This is evidenced by diverse cuts like ‘Dusty’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Rave’.

Despite ‘Satellite’ being Sam’s debut album, it showcases his seductive style in all its glory across 12 fantastic tracks that will leave you begging for more.

The third Mogador release comes from two members of the well-known Stil vor Talent family. After powerful tracks on SvT over the last couple of years and an amazing remix for disCow Co-founders Matchy & Bott, Bjoern Stoerig delivers a funky, disco-flavored track called “Uh my”. 
While the Original might be your perfect dancefloor filler to start off with, Teenage Mutants (famous for i.a. his Suara Summer hit 2014, which stayed in the overall beatport Top 10 for weeks) reinterprets “Uh my” in a dark manner with a hands up main break – peak time power. 
This EP is a solid pick with two tracks meant to move the crowd on a hot autumn club night.

With synths sounding like liquid tension, the original mix is a journey through tough beats and
frantic electronics.
The mighty Slam are in charge of the first remix and they take the dark and dirty route, stripping the original
down and adding some bleakness of their own, only to surprise us with an old school-sounding breakdown.
The Acid mix is slightly more rolling, featuring snappy drums and pulsating percussion, which takes us to the fourth
track of the EP; closing up is Tom Laws, who has been making his own unmistakable noise as of late. Utilizing simple,
yet solid drums he offers us a clearer picture of the tense synths while maintaining the vibe of the original.

With February's "Ronan Point" ep still wrecking the dancefloors and proving itself to be one of the labels strongest debut releases, Italian duo Macromism return to SCI+TEC with their latest smash, "District Zero." 

Having forged a more minimal path on their early recordings for the likes of Polar Noise and Zoo Technique, it was Mattia & Eugenio's 2011 releases for Inmotion and Carlo Lio's Rawthentic Music, that saw the duo explore the deeper side of tech-house, to great success. 

2012 kicked off at space and saw Macromism feature their music on Break New Soil, Suara, Kling Klong, Kiara and of course their debut for SCI+TEC. Their latest for the label is lead by "District Zero," otherwise known as the dancefloor. Right, here, right now, on that very spot, the demonic vocal instructs us to move, shake, dance and get sweaty… And backed by the hypnotic beats and stabbing synth riff its impossible not to. 

"News From Barcelona" on the flip takes the far more straight up, heads down approach as it powers forward from the off. Piercing hats and a lurking bassline lay the foundation before we break for some Pathe news. Whilst the broadcast is more British than Spanish, Macromism's beats are firmly rooted in the mediterranean.

After an outstanding pack of 12-inches for Scuba's Hotflush Recordings, London DJ and producer Sigha a.k.a James Shaw confidently returns to the label with his heavily anticipated debut LP, 'Living WIth Ghosts'. For this offering he presents twelve impressive techno and ambient productions and fuses his love of classic UK techno with the contemporary sound that currently pulses through Berlin’s Berghain. 

'Brood', an additional track not included on the aforementioned album, will be released as a very limited vinyl-only 10", and will never see the digital light of day. The acid-licked 'Scene Couple', a track from the LP, accompanies it.
