Created on Ableton using stock plugins along with Element Stereo VST. I had previously signed up to some of the courses on https://www.hypnotictechnoproduction.com which contains 
excellent content, and used some of the free Ableton racks & midi clips in creating this tune.

Corrosive State

Its been a whirlwind year so far for new SCI+TEC signing Fabio Florido. As one of the new wave of M_nus artists, he was chosen by Richie Hawtin to spin at some of the recent PLAYdifferently Mixer launch parties, including May’s live Boiler Room. Since then he’s squeezed in a quickfire tour of South America, completed an upcoming Ep for Pig&Dan’s ELEVATE imprint and put the finishing touches to his much anticipated SCI+TEC debut.

Fabio opens the release with Umeshu Drunkard, a heady concoction of lashing cymbles, twitching snare and marching bass. All topped with a dizzying melodic garnish. Intoxicating stuff from the Italian.

Title track Ascendent hits hard with its thumping kickdrum, sturdy groove and bubbling acid line. A mean, motoring track and, together with its predecessor, one that furthers Fabio’s rise to the top.

A resident of the iconic Stereo club in Montreal, Atroxx arrives with his first full EP on Kraftek. The aptly titled opening track "Anvil" is just a brutal masterpiece of heaviness. With a few simple respites thrown in, the track is relentless in its visceral energy. For the title track, Marck D from Medellin joins Atroxx for a moody and at times melodic affair that encapsulates the power & beauty of the cosmic techno sound we love. It's that time again... We're back with the fourth killer installment of our various artists series SUM, and after sorting through demos and receiving tracks from friends and colleagues, we've come up with a stellar nine track collection of pulse-pounding ''4-to-the-floor'' mayhem from some of today's freshest craftsmen. Kicking things off is Second State mainstay Wigbert with a slick display of energetic drums and mesmerizing tones on 'My Music'. Thomas Hoffknecht's '264' follows suit with a barrage of sound perfect for sweat drenched late night antics. S.M.O.D. - Smilla's and Oliver Deutschmann's new project - deliver a rapid fire cut with their track 'Trunk', where a winding synth ensues a percussive storm, before Rudosa and Hush & Sleep pursue with a wall of eccentric sonic blasts and a wall of aggressive percussion on 'Extinction', resulting in the perfect modern take on classic rave aesthetics. Two of Naples best exports, Markantonio and Lerio Corrado, step up next and dish out a sinister, yet uplifting number with 'Motherland'. JSPR follows up with his brutally pleasurable 'Build Your Walls Around Me'. Next, our VA takes a turn into slightly more melodic and emotional domain as confidns drop a bomb with their future classic '6 Sekunden', before Black Peters' 'Individual Force' drives the compilation into headier territories as he constructs an other-worldly trek via mischievous melodics and heartfelt harmonics. Avision's 'Feel It' rounds out the compilation with it's fever-inducing groove and a vigorous gate solidifying another unique display of today's best artists. Second State's SUM IV is here.

A blistering buddy to the first instalment of Pig&Dan’s ‘Tunnel Vision’ EP will land in April. 

Not one to rest on their laurels, Pig&Dan have come out firing in 2020. One of the techno genre’s most prolific artists, their 17 year has seen a wealth and consistency of output unmatched by most in the industry. This is exemplified by the ‘Tunnel Vision’ series launched on Drumcode this year.

Set for release just one week after its predecessor, part 2 continues in powerful, peak-time mode. ‘Sirenism’ is a tour de force, driven by a pulsating lead that pops with acidic undertones. ‘Rinse Out The Sound’ is an intoxicating blend of warbled effects, warm synth layers and crisp drum work. ‘Perception’ is marked by an exuberant top line riff and steely percussive layers and makes for a colourful addition to any set. ‘Wasted’ is muscular techno at its finest, finished with a glistening layer of melody. No surprise the collection went down a treat at Warehouse Project, Drumcode Halloween and Dockyard Festival, among others. The duo are in irresistible form.
