The contrast between the writing for this and the canon OUAT sequence is about as stark as the contrast between the tracks these yielded themselves. Makes sense! But that doesn't mean I won't act surprised. Since it's been a while since I've even touched the oldest script -- one that *I* wrote, believe it or not -- I 100% forgot what the old premise even was. Frankly I still don't! I'd sift through my DMs with Slick but I'm not even sure if I ever actually properly discussed this AU with him back in the day or if I just... kept it to myself for the most part.

While The Midnight Train Going Anywhere technically only has original motifs, the motif I ended up creating for the first section is definitely heavily inspired by this particular rendition of Around 2010.

Also that bit at the end was supposed to be way funnier if I just knew how to phrase it properly, since the point was like. "They're all you(/yourself), too".

I don't think I really knew what I was doing with Plumey back when I tried writing it, but uhh... Young James (or rather their semi-nameless predecessor, whose only name was their codename, "Froadie") basically went "lol yeah no I'm not doing this bye felicia" and quite literally just walked away.

Can't say I know why I went with the posh-ish piano vibe for them. 2019 was weird.

Yes, technically the motifs have had different names all along! But screw that 
Can't say "NEStyle - Castle" is exactly a catchy name one can easily remember.

Ahhh, the origin of the "make yourself at home" joke.

Originally I had the track numbers listed, but since there's two version of DTT that had an actual planned OST list, with numbers that do not correlate with one another, I decided against it. However for some context, The Home replacement was track 6. You might be wondering: why the hell, Toadie, was the HOME replacement track 6?
Because I was actually genuinely awful at pacing back then. Literally the entirety of Part 1 was:
- Froadie arrives in Twover
- Froadie walks home, realizing it looks like their hometown
- Froadie meets Plumey, basically nopes out of that
- Froadie meets (Adult) James
- Froadie and James finish the trek home (which I was supposed to write in its entirety but guess who skipped that.)
- Froadie and James hang out at James' house.

Fun bonus trivia: The track's title is meant to be a play on The Good Place, which was -- and honestly still is -- a show that's really important to me.

Sidenote: I'm mad at myself that I didn't decide to use this as a motif for canon DTT's Home replacement.

11. Courage

This is the credits theme for Chapter 1! I decided to do the same thing as the Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) credits theme, where the main melodies from all levels get featured in the song, along with Longprose's main melody at the start and end of the song

And with that, Chapter 1's soundtrack is pretty much complete! The only songs left are THE GRAND PERFORMANCE v3, and a new game over track!
