After two failed attempts, at my third gig at Beate Uwe I finally managed to record my set 😅 🙌🏼 

With incense sticks, thyme tea and no shoes: Embrace the little imperfections of a club gig recording & (re)join my little barefoot trip from a slow, very organic start over some dreamy housey vibes to deeper ethno sounds and darker bassy tracks up until my super cheesy end (I was sooo happy to play this track haha). 

Thank you to everyone who came and danced with me. Big thanks to the lovely crew from Beate Uwe for having me and being so kind to me. And special thanks to everyone who takes the time and courage to approach me after my gigs - your feedback, love and encouragement mean the world to me and fill my heart with love and joy 🫶

✔️ What are your musical influences? What is your musical background?

My musical influences started in the 80s and eventually I started djing in different clubs back then.
My style I would say is very experimental I like to play different genres of music in a mix:
This can range from Indie Dance and Organic House to Progressive.
But my favourite music genre I would see in the electronic area ... i.e. Indie Dance, Dark Disco and Melodic House.

✔️ What do you think makes a good afterhour?
An afterhour can take place anywhere, as long as people are having fun and the right music is playing.
From a chill sound to a harder beat ... ... that's how you can still step on the gas even at a late hour.

✔️ What thoughts would you like to share with us about your mix?

First of all, I'm very honoured to do a mix for your site ..... I think you have a very diverse selection of mixes on your site. I'm very happy to be able to present my exclusive mix here, and I hope people enjoy my mix.

One of the most skilled and creative artists around, and a member of our esteemed roster of inductees, Echomorphosis releases his debut Unbeyond Anthologies EP “Tenebris”.

A project equal parts haunting and uplifting, “Tenebris” is a glimpse into another ethereal world through jaw-dropping sounds and beautiful songwriting. Every song is a dense combination of lush instrumentation and incredible neuro texture, making for an EP that reveals new layers with each listen. The opening title track sets the stage brilliantly with orchestral leanings and plenty of tension, leading on to the journey that the rest of the release entails.

“Valiant” and “Remain” cut deep with emotional impact and intimate composition, while a song such as the fiery Throw Away Sounds collaboration “Lumina” is much more assertive and bass-driven. “Ferallight” is dramatic and triumphant with driving energy in spades, contrasted by “Destiny” which has a similar reassuring vastness with a decidedly more measured and tense pace.

“‘Tenebris’ reflects a time of darkness and uncertainty in my life. I poured my emotions into this EP, hoping it feels real and relatable.” said Echomorphosis. “It's about finding light in the shadows and navigating through tough moments. I hope listeners find comfort and realize they're not alone in their struggles.”

@Rolandson , der olle Kielholer, hat mit seiner Kogge schon viele viele Häfen angelaufen. Zur Zeit liegt er vor der Hansestadt auf Anker und schippert dann und wann durch die Ostsee auf der Suche nach der versunkenen See.
Als wir in der Kaschemme saßen und frischen Küstennebel schlürften, erzählte er von seiner Reise. Wir gingen in den Geisterwald und er zeigte mit ausgestreckten Finger auf eine weit entfernte und leere Stelle im Meer:
"Da muss sie sein, die Antwort auf alle Fragen!"
"Was meinst du?", fragte ich.
"Die 42 junger Maat, die 42."

Das umgangssprachliche Substantiv 𝑲𝒐𝒌𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒔 bedeutet so viel wie „Blödsinn“, „Unfug“, „Nonsens“, aber auch „Geschwätz“ oder “Getue“.

Die Herkunft des Wortes ist bis heute nicht geklärt. Es wird diskutiert, ob der Ausdruck womöglich von dem mittelniederdeutschen Wort Gokeler („Gaukler“) abgeleitet wurde. Diese Herkunft stützt man auf die Ähnlichkeit des Wortlauts. Alternativ wird Kokolores auf den Ruf des Hahns bezogen, welchem Stolz und Prahlerei nachgesagt wird.
