Roots Meditation est un crew parisien actif depuis 2006 qui a construit son propre sound-system en 2010. Collectionneurs de disques vinyles depuis de nombreuses années, Natty Fred et Roots Klem privilégient le message spirituel et méditatif du reggae roots à travers des sélections roots 70’s (comme dans cette superbe sélection de raretés) et roots UK pour propager des vibes conscientes et militantes.
Partageant des sessions avec de nombreux sound systems partout en France, ils ont également créé leur propre label (Roots Meditation Records) et organisent régulièrement les soirées Conscious Skanking sur la péniche Audrey, quai Henri IV à Paris. La prochaine session (#16) se déroule d'ailleurs ce samedi 18 mars avec Roots Meditation qui rencontre Freedom Masses (UK) !

The first EP coming on Descendant Music is a 10” Vinyl produced by Will Tee, featuring vocal cuts from Judah Eskender Tafari and Christine Miller, a horns cut from The H.U.S All Stars and a Will Tee dub mix.  It has been run heavily on dubplate by Channel One and Iration Steppas since it was made last year.  It can be seen in various videos being played as Channel Ones last tune in dances around the world.
