HLZ solo effort for XX010 is the slightly more aggressive cousin to Good Old Days, skittering drums and atmos play against the warping bass. A touch of warmth is given to the track with the female refrain, a great example of HLZ as a producer.

We're absolutely stoked to present you the Deludamol EP by Perth based Gran Calavera. Already releasing on Viper and Flexout this trio has been rolling out some serious vibes ranging from deep dancefloor tech towards organic beats for the mind and soul.

Entering by force the EP's title track sets the tone majestically with a daunting, spacious intro which then drops into a strong drum groove underlined by an infectious bassline. Continuing with Noted the boys take things up a notch showcasing their versatility and craftsmanship. For the third and last track we're pulling the old switcheroo on you lot with Safe that brings a more modest, liquid vibe to the table.

Demand in the past has always focused on newcomers and bringing them up to the forefront. We try to find people that endeavour originality with the focus on the dancefloor and after 6 years that is still the labels ethos. Last year we brought up new names like "SubMarine", "Andy Pain" or "Owneath" all with their own sound... and there is no stopping in this really in 2017 with our fifth Selects EP. 
With the Bristol based talent "Grey Code", Austrian "Wingz" and "Skylark" from Strasbourg we welcome 3 new names, you've probably not heard of yet, to the Demand family. 
Grey Code starts off with "Making Marks" and oh boy does it deliver. That stomping heavy kick and the dark movement in the bassline, no wonder this has already received love by Noisia. Another track championed by said Dutch boys is Wingz "Confined". It is minimal, clicky and sub bass focused and rolls so well, one could listen to this on repeat. 
"Echelon" by Grey Code & Skylark on the other hand very different. It's what we'd call techy d&b in it's cleanest and purest form. We love how the bassline morphs through this track and it's attention to detail! Last but not least we welcome back Owneath with a "Thousand Suns". He's a master of the brooding, minimal, progressive sound. Every phrase is different even tho you have to listen closely to hear it. We're excited about these guys and hope you're too!

Grey Code - Making Marks

In this day and age vinyl releases are getting rare in drum & bass but still we at Demand cherish them. Requisites our 6 part 33 rpm series is an ode to the vinyl culture. Every release symbolizes one particular requisite that you'd evidently need to rock the so called black gold, served by, what else could it be... a butler and this time with a speaker!

Musically this release is rich in flavors with steppers, rollers & liquid styles of tracks. Enei remixing EastColors has always proven to be a deadly combination, no more words needed. Robustus serving us the deep & brooding "NYC". Stash, a newcomer group to the scene, make their vinyl debut with "Somehow" and after his Selects EP we are serving "NZT48" of Andy Pain, a percussion lead roller we've had so much good reactions! 

So go get out, play it out loud and don't forget to spread the vibe!
