Always looking for “that new sound”, he presents upcoming artists shaping the new underground Drum’n bass scene, as curator for Conundrum Radio DnB Podcasts.
Recently, he joined the N87 crew, bass music activist for a few years in the east of France.

alt-J are Joe Newman, Gus Unger-Hamilton and Thom Green. They returned in 2022 with their latest album, The Dream.  

alt-J are one of the most successful British bands of the millennium. Their 2012 Mercury Prize and Ivor Novello Award-winning debut An Awesome Wave, was followed two years later by their number one, GRAMMY and BRIT Award-nominated album This Is All Yours. Released in 2017, RELAXER flew straight into the top 10 of the UK album chart ahead of a summer of major international shows - including a headline show at London’s O2 Arena and headline performances at numerous festivals - and became their second album to be nominated for the Mercury Prize.

Nick Acorne is a versatile sound artist, who works as composer, sound designer,  interactive media artist and performer. He worked with variety of genres, sound languages and esthetics. Holding a degree in both classical composition, electronic composition and sound design, he combines very often live recorded acoustic musical instruments with computer processed or generated electronic sounds. Over the years Nick developed his own original series of participatory solo performances and different piano concerts (RUBILOVO, Remote Control, BUY, PAY, IX KLA VIER E). 

Working the last years in the field of interactive art he combines his  composer proficiency with programming knowledge and creates together  with colleagues interactive sound installations for museums, galleries and festivals. Nick developed also his own DIY sensor based instrument The Sensor Board, which he uses for live performances of Elektrichka Trio, as well as also for solo concerts. He is a co-founder of Some Designers art collective and Ninja Guru Design Studio.
