Jerdie is from California and has been DJing since 2017. Originally a guitarist, she sought out other methods of performing music due to arthritis. She enjoys mixing many genres, but dub techno has quickly become one of her favorites. One of her goals while mixing is to take the listener to a place of relaxation, as dub techno mixes have done for her. She is also a producer, currently experimenting with a few genres in ableton live. She hopes to release music in the future, and has a few dub techno tracks of her own in the works. She will release them if she can ever get her cat to stop sleeping on her laptop.

In this particular playlist we are presenting different shapes of Dub Techno. Therefore we reached out to our friends and Guest DJs to record and create a set for you.

Artist Bio:
Emesh led by Antonio Muñoz is a master in creative music production across electronic, ambient, slow trance, idm and dub. He comes from the beautiful region of La Alcarria in Spain. Since 2013 on Sendero Records, he has been delivering a quite diverse range of sound to the listener, sometimes danceable, sometimes calming, more metallic, more organic, and always inspiring. Antonio is both, a musician and therapist. His musical influences owe much to the pop and electronics of the 80s when he started working as resident Dj at Deadly club in Brihuega (Guadalajara-Spain) about 9 years. From there he went to Madrid to do Dj sets with his aka Dujay in various popular nightspots of the capital like the Circulo de Bellas Artes, Mondo and Maxime between others, in addition in the early 2000s he is the founder of the underground parties Darkbeat, programming deep trance and progressive house, pioneers in the city. Working with these sounds allowed him to warm up James Holden the first time he visited Spain in 2003. Evolving his skills, he delved into music production, mastering various instruments and exploring sound therapy rooted in shamanic practices. Antonio gives regular sound therapy sessions and journeys using his Tibetan Singing Bowls, Shamanic Drum and other ancient instruments. His talent has been recognized on a global stage, with his track featured at the London Music Conference in 2020 playing a set at fabric@london. This global recognition is a testament to his skill and creativity. Currently, he's immersed in his studio, Elul, recently completing an indie electronic EP with Miss Zagato, and recent releases on Initiate Rec., Piranha Siberia Dub, Blue Lotus and Something Spæcial label. A unique blend of strength and spaciousness, longing and determination, makes Liuos’ music truly distinctive. His clarity and sense of space set him apart from other artists.

Working quietly from his modest studio in Finland, Liuos has steadily become a respected name in the world of dub techno – with releases on Cold Tear, Lucidflow, and spclnch, as well as remixes for Superordinate Dub Waves and Piranha Siberia Dub.

We Are One Podcast Dub Series #14  - Liuos

We really had such a wonderful time on 24th Aug 2025 when we were testing the headphone set-up for the MLD goes silent sessions, what turned out as a first edition of Elektrik Café Berlin, together with our collaborator Gijs Gruijters, playing a wonderful modular set under his artist moniker SHIFTY, together with He Ling and Bian Bian from China and also a set from Sai, what you can listen here now 

Everything was glued together smoothly and the sound with the bluetooth connection is really great! The whole concept builds a wonderful atmosphere with the gloomy headphones while sitting inside, diving into the music and the venue, also with video art installations... or sitting outside in fresh air, watching people passing by and inviting them to join. A big thanks also to Krumm & Schief Café at Prenzl Berg, who lent us their nice venue as the perfect location for this project.
