With a producer career that spans almost a decade, Pedro Capelossi has quickly emerged from Spain's avant-garde electronic music landscape.
The Brazilian born - Spaniard naturalized, Barcelona based artist has forged a distinctive sound which focuses on inventive use of atmosphere and rhythm, drawing the lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula. In 2023 he founded his own musical imprint REFRACTION RECORDS, representing some of the world’s most avant-garde visual artists, designers and musicians. Blurring the boundaries between house, techno and its closely related derivatives, REFRACTION operates with an inherent understanding of the principles set out by electronic music’s greatest innovators.

We open our series with an artist we have been huge fans of for well over a decade - Luke Hess.

Born in 1980 in Metro Detroit and subject to the city's mid-90's warehouse parties, Luke Hess has harnessed a deep appreciation for electronic music and the expression of the underground movement.  His background in mathematics and engineering has given him a scientific approach to the dance-floor, using frequencies, tones, and soundscapes to transform surroundings and mood.

This incredible mix was recorded just a few weeks ago at Kenneth Christiansens "Dub Nation" event at About Blank, Berlin. Luke showcases his skills throughout, with tight, precise blends that he's made his signature. We are truly honoured to have one of our favourite ever artists open this series.

Ferenc Szanati  has been consciously collecting music since his childhood, and made his debut as a DJ in 2007 at the Justmusic.FM DJ Championship, which he won. Over time his musical tastes evolved and he was influenced by Progressive House and Deep House, which led him to Dub Techno, a genre he is very close to and has been representing for a few years now.
Besides music, sound quality is also important to him, so he prefers vinyl to always get the best possible sound on different systems. In 2011, Helikon Radio in Keszthely, Koktél, gave him a regular opportunity as resident DJ and editor to make his style available on terrestrial broadcasting in the region. In 2015, he and his friend AeRo founded the Euphonic Moments event series, which has since become a show on Tilos Radio (Budapest, FM 90.3 and online). The Dub Techno-focused broadcasts can be heard bi-weekly, featuring guest mixes from Hungarian and international DJs who do quality work, alongside the hosts. From 2023 onwards, he was given the opportunity to be a resident at Technodub Seance events, Hungary's first Dub Techno project, which is well established in the scene. Among others, he has appeared at events and clubs such as Club Dallas, Bloom Bar, Nemdebár, Mika Tivadar Mulato, Larm, Dürer Kert, Piknik Manufaktúra, Gátőrház, Aurora, Telep, Müszi, Deep Vision Night Camp, Phonoda Camp, Level, Turbina, Kerdő and of course Tilos Radio parties, as well as in numerous national and international podcasts.

Douglas Fugazi represents a fascinating fusion between technology and electronic experimentation in the Latin American scene. This Colombian engineer with a master's degree in computer science transformed his passion for electronic music into a creative adventure between code and music. In 2008, from Medellín, Colombia, Fugazi created Monofónicos Netlabel with several friends, a platform that has become an indisputable reference for electronic music in Latin America. This project not only spreads music but represents a cultural movement that promotes the musical art of local artists through new technologies. Through his work with Monofónicos, Douglas has established himself as an ambassador of the independent music scene, fostering creativity and cultural exchange in the Latin American context.

The Open Circle is a Belgian producer with releases on labels such as  MixCult, Lempuyang, OHM Series, Crystal MUD, Insectorama , Crossfade Sounds, ODrex Music, Moonglade Sound, ECOUL SND. Sometimes tracks were also released on vinyl. The Style can be described as Dub Techno with a personal touch. The production is mostly done using the Modular synthesizer and some Hardware synthesizer. More tracks will be released in the future on some respected labels.
