Marco Faraone’s UNCAGE imprint welcomes the heavy hitting Eats Everything on to the Uncage Swap series for a huge release set to create waves in summer 2021.

Hot on the heels of smash remixes for Jodie Harsh, and MD X-Spress, hit UK producer Eats Everything goes back to his dark pumpin’ dance floor roots with a delectable 2 track EP on Faraone’s highly regarded Uncage imprint as he drops the 5th in the labels Uncage Swap Series. 

The first and title track on the EP is Think About The Revolution, which is a peak time slice of bumpin’ Tech House.  Starting off with a news interview intro about the revolution this builds into a hypnotic groove before jackin’ up the groove with some Todd Terry esq beats which all combine to give this all the necessary ingredients for yet another big hitting release from everyone’s favourite Bristolian. 

On the flip side we have Sain, where he delivers an excellent hypnotic techno tinged groove, with added old school vocal and chord cuts this certainly brings a certain darker power and energy which followers of Uncage will be accustomed to, making this the perfect B side for this essential release

The seventh Various Artists release on Mary Yuzovskaya’s Monday Off imprint arrives on vinyl in October 2024, with Yuzovskaya, Viels, ORBE, and D-Leria contributing tracks. It follows ‘VA Vol. 6’, which featured Blazej Malinowski, Michal Wolski, Xhato & Milena Glowaka, and won support from artists like Chris Liebing, re:ni, Gigi FM, and more. First up on the record, Italy’s End Of Perception founder Viels conjures up a storm with ‘Nero’, a cerebral cut with crushing, low-end-heavy atmospheres and mysterious alien signals. It is followed by Spanish techno lynchpin and Orbe Records boss ORBE, whose hypnotic ‘Rigging’ explores the abyss with foreboding sonics and a continual beep sequence that guides the track forward. On the B-side, Monday Off label head Mary Yuzovskaya presents ‘Trouble’. A masterful bassline and bodied kickdrum starts the trip, providing an excellent foundation while alternating between rattling percussion, deep dub hits, and strangely familiar but indecipherable vocal snippets. Sound design wizard D-Leria then closes out the EP with the spellbinding ‘Battito’, complete with mind-blowing melodies and swirling effects, rounding off another top-draw psychedelic offering on Monday Off. Various Artists ‘VA Vol. 7’ drops on Monday Off 11th October 2024.

The seventh V/A release on Mary Yuzovskaya's Monday Off imprint lands on vinyl, with Viels, ORBE, D-Leria, and Yuzovskaya all contributing tracks. Each artist lending their tender efforts to a mutant techno march, Viels' 'Nero' and Orbe's 'Rigging' provide strong titular clues as to their muses; the first uses both the Latin word for "black" and the name of an ancient Roman emperor, suggesting might, militancy and nyctalopic mis-seeing in its dispatch of a blind sonic firestorm; the latter likens production to construction, with its central, low-sined wayfinder sound effect, and dusty hi-hat caroms, suggesting some vessels have windshields that truly can brave the storm. Yuzovskaya's 'Trouble' lands us in hot water, with its startled, far-off vocal snippets and knockout prattles in the left and right lobes; then there's B-leria's closer 'Battito', a living, breathing planetary entity, prone to emit eerily harmonic Close Encounters-style tones and whose atmosphere we dare not cross.

PREMIERE: Mary Yuzovskaya - Trouble [Monday Off]

Revelation of Sound is pleased to present Phonolis. Based out of Southern California, Keith Craig, aka Phonolis, has been a steadfast purveyor of the deeper side of techno for the past seven years.

Embarking on his musical voyage in the heart of 80s nightclubs in the early 2000s, Phonolis, cut his teeth spinning indie disco and electroclash tunes; playing for high energy dancefloors with a different type of sound that other local DJs in his hometown weren’t accustomed to at that time. A true disciple of the rave culture since 1998, Phonolis has traversed to iconic party scenes of Los Angeles, Detroit, Miami, London, Amsterdam, and Berlin, taking in a kaleidoscope of sounds and sensations each city has to offer.

In 2020, Phonolis set out on a new sonic odyssey, delving deep into the hypnotic realms of techno. Over the years he has become a purveyor of the genre, captivating audiences with magnetic sets with a penchant for weaving intricate rhythms and atmospheric textures. As he continues to push the boundaries of electronic music, Phonolis remains steadfast in his pursuit to collect and present the highest quality of tunes, while being a beacon of creativity and innovation, leaving an indelible mark on his local dance music community.

MOLIY & Silent Addy - Shake It To The Max (Michael Beggs Remix)

eee (short for “eLECTRO eNIGMA eNSEMLE”) is the new Berlin-based duo from Reza Bashi (Dampen the mood [SOIL Records], Resonance of Six [SOWASVON Records]) and ShySam @shysam [SVNSETWAVES, Fuzzy Puddles].

Rusted Hammers, their debut single released on KabelKiste Berlin, is the manifestation of the cinematic, hypnotic and dark crossing of the two artists and composers. The mesmerizing bassline creating a drive for the duration of the track and the distant piano presenting the piece in a dystopian atmosphere is the distinguishing material of this arrangement.
Inspired by the grit of Berlin and the rust of its club-scene, this piece isn’t an intro track, but a tool for the peak hours; a deep-groove built for 4 AM on dance-floors of the hammerhalle of Sisyphos and the Vault of Tresor.

Matt Edwards and multifaceted artist Patrick Mason team up as SRVD with debut release entitled ‘ELEVATE’ dropping on Rekids this August. 

Whether as Radio Slave or his various other monikers, Matt Edwards is one of electronic music’s most consistent and innovative artists. Ever since his early reinterpretations of Kylie Minogue and New Order, Edwards has continually commanded respect as a producer and in-demand remixer, whilst as a label owner his Rekids imprint is undoubtedly one of house and techno’s most influential platforms. 

Meanwhile, Patrick Mason continues to conquer the fashion world; a devout club kid and gifted creative turning heads as an outstanding art director, illustrator and model, whose extensive artistic talents include a unique and compelling voice destined for dancefloors. 

SRVD’s story begins when the pair met in Panorama Bar, which soon led to Edwards and Mason hanging out at the studio and later evolved into improvised performances in Berlin’s club scene and beyond. ‘ELEVATE’ perfectly captures the raw spirit and vibe of their live show, with whispering vocals ushering in precision kicks and piercing stabs until Mason’s mesmerising voice comes fully into play. 

An homage to the New York vogue scene and a huge hit at Panorama Bar - where the pair have set the house on fire with three unannounced shows so far this year - ‘NASTY’ is a syncopated, bass-driven monster of a cut complete with infectious claps and metallic effects.

Radio Slave’s momentous ‘Another Club’ receives two thumping remixes from SRVD and Charlotte de Witte.

‘Another Club’ was the 100th release on Rekids and dropped as the label celebrated a milestone ten years. It unquestionably became one of Techno’s biggest tracks ever made. Two years later, the landmark production receives outstanding remixes from two of the genre’s most salient artists: NovaMute producer Charlotte de Witte, who’s just collaborated with Chris Liebing on her newly launched KNTXT imprint, as well as the ever-impressive Patrick Mason and Radio Slave who team up again as SRVD.

Charlotte de Witte’s remix of ‘Another Club’ marches forward with pounding 909 style kicks, hooking acid hits, fleeting voice samples and haunting pads. SRVD’s remix then uses the vocals as stabs, adding tension with rave inspired synths, buzzing keys and splashing cymbals, while locking it all together with thundering drums and sub frequency rumbles.
