Written between 2020-2021, “Cerulean” is a ten-track album which delves into the isolation of the emotion of blue. The tracks flow between UK genres, combining sliced breaks, emotive melodic synths and deep pulsating low end to audibly display Jeigo’s intricate and melancholic production qualities. The album was produced in his former family home in South West London during the pandemic and finished in his home for the last two years in Peckham. Each track sits on the border of home listening and club functionality, with essences of crying on the dance floor euphoria, to those blissful or challenging moments alone.

Laurenz’s offering is an all-out breaks affair touching on strands of hardcore, electro, jungle and dnb – an impressive feat in just over 45 minutes. It launches straight in with some really nice old school breaks embracing the hardcore continuum – it really will never die! A stunning selection of properly percussive breakbeats slot into each through tight phrasing that weaves through acid, baile and other tasty bassbin business. Playful samples keep the momentum varied and the listener locked in on this drum journey special.
 
Pushing through some breaky 140 tribal techno not out of place in a bufo set we head into 160 realms before the unmistakeable Vivaldi-esque mandolin strings of perhaps 2021’s biggest jungle track career into focus. Baroque made Jungle à la Sully. Such a track never fails to lift a dancefloor and here it stirs the very fabric of the soul: Jungle ex Machina if you will. Winding it down, Laurenz ends on a more sultry note with LTJ Buckem style drums recalling that classic ’96 liquid sound. Beautiful stuff!

Radio Slave returns to his Rekids imprint with the explosive ‘Stay Out All Night’.

As the artist behind ‘Grindhouse’, ‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’, ‘Another Club’, and many other timeless cuts, Radio Slave’s knack for crafting Herculean club tracks is unlike any other. ‘Stay Out All Night’ could be one of his biggest yet. With its cleverly arranged breakdowns, it's a high-octane track built on syncopated drums, lively breaks and chopped-up vocals. An absolute bomb. On the flip, ‘Wait A Minute’ thuds onwards with deafening kicks, rattling percussion, and an infectious stuttering vocal exclaiming the track’s title.
