Happy Friday Jackin' People! I'm sharing a new mix today to help you start your weekend off right! 

For this edition of the “Label Spotlight Mix,” we take a 50-minute journey through the archives of @moodfunkrecords

After listening to Mood Funk’s latest VA release — DISCOPATHY 'Funky Assistance' — I could not take my mind off of making a mix that included several of the tracks from this release, plus gems from Mood Funk’s archive that fall into the Jackin House, Funky Tech House, and Afro House genres.

I’ve been obsessed with Mood Funk’s sound and instantly-recognizable Instagram promos for some time now, so it’s only appropriate to put a spotlight on a small part of their incredible catalog. 

This set is pretty much an ode to label boss, @angeloferreri, and the amazing talent he’s cultivating in this VA release.

DUMAREK (du-ma-rek) produces soulful and funky house, as well as modern-day dusty disco: perfect for daytime dancing, poolside lounging, and memorable sunsets.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dumarek now makes the music he loves in his northern-California based studio and plays hardware-infused house and disco sets for discerning fans.

Disco Twister is NuDiscoFunkyHouse - a unique blend of cool nu disco grooves, 80's inspired sound, soulful vocals and funky house beats. This mixture creates a lively and energetic whirlwind that sweeps across the dance floor 😉

My absolute inspiration is Purple Disco Machine. He motivated me to start DJ-ing after a long break again and inspired me with his sound. Also Dr. Packer, DJ Master Said, Shaka Loves You, Da Lukas, Greg Wilson, Fingerman, Brothers In Arts, Romain Villeroy and the podcasts of Pete Ellison are absolutely my favorites. However, these are just a few names and i am enthusiastic about everyone who goes musically in the same direction...

My mission is to give happy and musical moments to as many people as possible with my DJ sets. Otherwise i also want to help to make the music style "NuDisco / FunkyHouse" even more popular.
