Duplicity 125 | @egotot

Fast. Impulsive. Techno. Three words to establish and define what the artist known as Egotot is all about. The young musician, hailing from the deep south of Germany, sets quite the pace when it comes to his vision of electronic music, regarding both tempo as well as quality. His beats, be in the studio or in the DJ booth, appear to come and arrange themselves seemingly with no effort. A Rave-infected sonic testing ground without ever feeling like a simple Rave pastiche.

A vision of Techno that is obviously inspired by its sound of the 90s, but neither exceedingly aggressive, nor excessively happy. Egotot has a special taste for rugged, up-tempo grooves which demand their own time to breathe and reveal their power. A sonic all-purpose weapon to be used on, for, and by the dance floor.

However, his sense for music doesn’t stop at the edge of dancefloor-oriented Rave. It goes far beyond, right to and through the sometimes more and sometimes less subtle tides of electronic music. This exemplarily reflects in his very own imprint, Schimmer Records, which he founded in 2019. The label has, in a rather short period of time, already evolved to a sonic reservoir of all different shades, all of which share a commonality – quality in production, love to detail, and an undeniable appeal to avid devotees of electronic music of all kinds.

There is nothing confusing about Egotot’s take on music. It is clean-cut, it is straightforward, it is always effective. The Industrial clout, the fast groove, the merciless rigor – this is how Techno should sound in the 21st century, and Egotot is its perfect avatar.

Medha is a Leipzig based Dj and promoter as a member of the PVC collective. Since the end of 2021 she is the co-host of the well-known event series aequalis at Ifz. Her passion for technoid music is shaped by her constant search for inspiration and new tracks, which she brings together in her mixes with a mixture of intuition and thought. Influenced by the Berlin and Leipzig culture and club scene, she navigates through an array of techno genres, transitioning from hypnotic and mellow rhythms to atmospheric or groovy. Her sound is characterised by concise basslines and rougher elements on the one hand, but also by deep and driving rhythms and repetitive sounds. Over the last years, she has played in clubs such as Ifz Leipzig, Tresor Berlin, ://about blank, Kalif Storch or Sirococlub Madrid.

Based in Berlin, Kaan Pirecioglu centers his music on purism and functionality, crafting techno tracks with a hypnotic and timeless character. Kaan’s journey into music production began with his first digital EPs on labels like Platform 22 and Methodical, later evolving with vinyl releases on Schimmer Records and Influenced Records, the latter featuring a remix by Jeroen Search.

With recent EPs on K S R, Float Records and Primordial State, as well as track support from artists like DVS1, Claudio PRC, Efdemin, and many more, Kaan is emerging as a notable figure in today’s techno scene.

Barcelona-based Joey Stella. Resident and founder of the influential collective 01366.
Originally from Manchester (UK), historically a home for techno and all things music. Stella is a diverse selector focusing on deep and intelligent rhythms; his DJ sets can be described as powerful with rolling grooves and hypnotic spells found throughout.

Developing his taste as a raver in the north west, with family members and a close circle well embedded in the local club and rave scene - Joey naturally fell into throwing parties as soon as he was old enough to do so. Now with years of experience, this life really came to the fore after moving to Barcelona, where he began promoting illegal loft and warehouse parties, which evolved into the multi-city 01366 label and event brand, that he co-manages today.

LIANE is an Amsterdam based artist, DJ, music producer, sound designer and a trained industrial designer. Her sets are demonstrating a steady flow infused with depicted turbulence that challenges and breaks the storyline. Influenced by the underground music scene of Jerusalem, her unique sound incorporates deep, raw, dark, industrial and groovy layers. Her music weaves a distorted fog of noisy textures with an experimental edge that carries the dancefloor through a dynamic soundscape characterized by tension-build and release.
LIANE wishes to use the vibrational power of sound as a mediator of emotions that can be shared collectivly on the dancefloor.

She hosts and curates ROAMING EDGES, a residency at RadioRadio FM (Amsterdam), which showcases a variety of sounds, from experimental to techno.

LIANE strives to create an immersive experience exploring emotional and mental depths. She challenges sonic boundaries while maintaining a continuous rolling flow that breaks and reforms, leaving a lasting impression on the crowd.

We are super excited to present the 142nd episode from @aumrecordings co-founder TENO!

TENO is a DJ and producer currently based in Osaka, who has been making a strong impact on the techno scene in recent years through both his DJ sets and productions. His activities now extend not only throughout Japan but also across Europe, China, and other parts of Asia.

On the international podcast circuit, he was featured as the first artist in the new FOWRE series on Eerste Communie, curated by Marrøn, one of the world’s leading DJs based in the Netherlands. He has also contributed mixes to labels such as Polygonia’s IO Records, Nebuleus, Reverse, Tensione Collective, and CONCEPTUAL VIOLENCE.

As a producer, TENO continues to release music on labels around the globe. Through his own techno label Aum Recordings, he released an EP featuring a remix by Munich-based artist Polygonia. Additionally, he collaborated with world-renowned DJ Wata Igarashi, who contributed a remix for TENO’s first vinyl EP, DONT CRY OVER SPILLED MILK.

In February 2025, TENO launched a second label, Monos, with the aim of expressing his unique artistic identity. The label has already released the Violet EP and Primrose EP, with the Yuugao EP set to follow soon.

His sets mirror his bold production style. Oscillating between dark, vibrant, and cinematic themes underlined by heavy, driving grooves, he invites listeners to embark on a hypnotic journey together.

K-H1’s releases have garnered recognition and support from influential figures, and have graced venues such as Berghain, RSO, Bassiani, and Smolna38. Quickly establishing a unique presence on the techno scene, K-H1 is one to watch.
