Introduction in English:

Sometimes I dream that I meet my great musical idols. When I was intensively occupied for a while with one of my passions, the French chanson, it happened that in one of my dreams Jacques Brel sat opposite me in my small Berlin living room and gave me the assignment to write, in my way and with my possibilities, something like a sequel to his great chanson "Ne me quitte pas".  Whereas here he had described the fear of losing a loved one, now I was to describe in my song what it was like to have lost this loved one forever. 
And on the basis of this nocturnal dream collaboration, my French chanson "Je t’ai perdu" was born. 
The cover is again by the Polish artist Renata Golab.

Becalmed//Picking Up The Wind ... "Endless Oceans Project"

'The Long Climb Down' is a mixed genre track inspired by my past hill climbing days. The exhilaration and peacefullness on reaching the top and then the sometimes lenghly journey back down, tired but still running on adrenaline. And so the piece is in four sections. Going up - reaching the top - going down - walking home fullfilled.

Sometimes our hearts look to someone who is not so easy a fit, someone who is not physically near or isn’t embraced by friends and family, or some such tabu. We wrestle with what doesn’t come easy yet seems so right and natural. In the end the heart should always win. This original song is another one of my raw “live” iPhone recordings with an added vocal harmony. Bare bones, just like the sentiment.

An early morning walk in the woods can greet one with birdsong, pungent aromas, and sometimes enough silence in the spaces to hear music.  So it was for Seagull one early morning not long ago; a beautiful tune with the breath of eternity poured into his soul and knew it needed to be captured and shared.  What an honor that he asked me to contribute to his vision and to work again with Soundcloud's poet laureate Peter as he graces the music with his words and reading.
