Following the success of their debut album, 'Eros Anikate', Berlin-based DJ and Producer couple Local Suicide return with the first of four remix EPs for their release, each named after an ancient Greek god.

'Eros Anikate - Adonis Remixes' is a 5-track EP featuring remixes for 'High Buildings w/ Lee Stevens', 'Whispering w/Curses', and 'Hercules Adonis'.

The EP opens with a remix of 'High Buildings' from the German cold wave band Die Selektion. The band, formed in 2010 from another experimental post-punk project, draws influences from new wave, orchestra, techno and 80s synth pop, creating a unique blend of styles that is both melancholic and danceable. Their use of the trumpet and deliberate choice of German-language texts sets them apart from other bands in the genre, earning them success in Germany and beyond. Their remix of 'High Buildings' is a faster, grittier and more aggressive rework of the original, contrasting punk style vocals and harsh, saw bass lines with the soft ambiences and vocals of the original track.

The EP will be released on digital and vinyl formats via their Iptamenos Discos imprint on September 16th, 2022.

Summer heat is here and with it the eighth installment of Duro’s international groove compilation "Muy Duro". For this volumen the Mexican record label dig music from Lithuania's Monk Ernie, a seductive collaboration between Time To Sleep & Local Suicide. The first manifestation from Israeli, Ido Morali. The debut of Moisees & ZEA in the VA series, and to close the compilation, a collaboration from TAU’s duo, Dominik Marz & Radial Gaze.

The opener is "Canned Shoes" by Monk Ernie, a fresh and vigorous cut with a rogue percussion section, a big funky bass line, a melting electric guitar, wacky arpeggio synthesizers and cooling pads. It’s followed by "I Unfollow", the collaboration between the Croatian Time To Sleep and Berlin based lovely duo, Local Suicide. Seductive melodies, tight drums and phantasmagoric voices lead you through the whole track. From Israel comes Ido Morali with "Mondo3000", a pushing bass kick blended with dozed vocoders and acid sound that sweeps the reality expansion into a hypnotic experience.

Next up is "Wasen" by Moisees and ZEA, a track inspired by DMT trips and Japanese fishing boats. A Strong and mind-blowing cut, oriental instruments, psychedelic synthesizers, and rumble drums drive you to the zurna's break. To close the compilation is "Error 707" by Dominik Marz & Radial Gaze, an epic cut manufactured with powerful drums and beautiful synthesizers, an electric shocks rain.

The B-side is where Thomass Jackson and Zombies in Miami deliver their wild and unorthodox remixes of In Each Other. The Thomas Jackson True Love Remix is emotional, hypnotizing and yet so trippy, a true testament of Calypso Records Boss' remixing skills. The second take of the leading track is by Zombies in Miami, a powerful and forward-looking track that blends the hypnotic percussions of the original with a rhythmic bassline and flawless simplicity of all elements used in this remix.'

From Mexico we are happy to have once again on the house Alex Garcia aka Vleks. After the successful release of HEAR0046 - ‘Dime Que Si’ under the name of Los Dvtsuns with his buddy Adan Aradillas, we welcome Vleks to HEARec with HEAR0058 - Rasho EP.
HEAR0058 is a two original tracks, Rasho - featuring Cali Burton from Logia Records - Purpura, and a powerful remix from the Mexican Roliva.
Ricardo Oliva has already sit his signature style on the scene, from Culiacan the producer and NATIVO’s label manager has some very respected releases on ROAM Recordings, Night Noise, NEIN Records to name a few.
From playing in punk and rock bands, Roliva experiments with his music and melts his former influences with techno, disco and acid house to give rise to a unique and distinctive style.
On his Rasho reinterpretation, Roliva proposes a path almost opposed to the original track yet masterfully blending the characteristic elements from the later. The addition of melodic elements, layering an extra electronic bass and completely re-imagining the drums give a refreshing and brighter vibe to the track.
