Prepare yourselves for a journey of intergalactic soul… Damon Jee’s Dust & Blood label is about to launch its most cosmic trip to date.

Your captains on this voyage de l'âme intergalactique are the bossman Damon himself and his right-hand navigator Darlyn Vlys. Arm-in-arm they team up for three remarkable planet-bouncing adventures, starting with ‘Phénomène’. A butt-shaking, blunt-smoking space disco freak-out, complete with electro-style roboticised vocals, this isn’t just a track – it’s a window into a new dimension. And it comes complete with a killer return trip remix from the Adana Twins.

‘No Flash’ follows. Instantly striking with its loose, swinging off-grid drums and scorching rocket booster synth splashes, there’s 23rd century Italo flavour as we zoom deeper and deeper into the aether before ‘UFO’ brings the EP to an astounding climax. Less of a ‘UFO’ sighting and more of a full-bodied feeling, these are otherworldly flavours on an Area 54 level: in just six minutes the French duo traverse their entire sound palette with aplomb. Big crunchy synths on the intro, hip-slinging bass guitar on the drop and lavish extra terrestrial synth flares, ain’t nobody phoning home when this is playing.

There’s something like a phenomenon, as LL Cool J once told us, but there’s nothing like a ‘Phénomène’. Ready for take-off?

It was only last year that we welcomed Buenos Aires duo This & That into the Solide family and already they’re back with another stunning release, titled ‘Uyasabeka’. Where their previous EP felt dusky and rolling, on ‘Uyasabeka’ brings the funk. It’s bright and lively with shuffling hi-hats and delicately prancing synths.

Sobek, another returning face, provides a rework in the wildest sense. The original ‘Uyasabeka’ is unrecognisable in his grasp as he flips things into a spooky and propulsive drum workout, complete with snarling acid and wobbly synths.

Seb El Zin, the french composer and multi-instrumentalist known for being a rule breaker in music with his progressive, psychedelic and highly non-4/4 band ITHAK, and hip-hop-free-noise collective ANARCHIST REPUBLIC OF BZZZ, makes his debut in the electronic music scene by entering the stage through a door he designed himself : an atypical uptempo production, driven and influenced by two decades of exposure to turkish music, and filled with original and idiosyncratic sounds that will enchant every listener. By marrying traditional ottoman patterns with prog-psy elements in a modern electronic music context, Seb El Zin has created his own language. Unlike the name of his debut EP "Lingua Minimalista '' suggests, his productions are full of subtle melodic details and irresistible harmonies. We, at THISBE Recordings, fall for that paradox and the phenomenon Seb El Zin. 

The musician brings a fresh approach to the Indie electronic music world, making the label delighted to release his debut EP, a production that includes the title track "Lingua Minimalista" and the single "The Hashashins´Aksak". Randall Jones and Nick Stoynoff join forces on Panama Red, an original cut that glides effortlessly between progressive house and sleek techno. Released on Stoynoff’s own NOFF! imprint, the track embodies the label’s ethos — deep, hypnotic, and rhythmically refined.

From the opening bars, Panama Red locks into a supple, rolling groove. A pulsing bassline drives the low end while percussive accents flicker around it, giving the rhythm both swing and bite. Subtle modulation keeps the energy simmering, never boiling over — the mark of producers who know exactly how to control tension on the dancefloor.

The duo’s chemistry shines in the details: evolving pads and filtered synth textures lend the track a cinematic glow, while its minimalist arrangement keeps focus squarely on motion and atmosphere. It’s progressive in the truest sense — a journey that unfolds gradually, revealing new shades with each listen.

Rather than chase obvious hooks or peak-time fireworks, Panama Red trades in understated sophistication. When it comes to the so-called Dark Disco/Indie Dance genres, the United Mexican States is doubtless a powerhouse. The number of artists and producers delivering interesting material from the North American country is impressive. Amidst the ones to watch is young and talented Umvral (FREEDL018). He is finally back to his own label – the poisonous and dangerous Veneno –, after a one-year hiatus, with the single “El Baile De La Noche”. Alvee (FREEDL019) & Alessand were the ones responsible for the remix assignment. 

The version we were given to premiere, the original, is influenced by industrial sounds, as well as acid and a bit of disco music. What about the cool vocals? Umvral himself belted out the lyrics. Mike drop! “El Baile De La Noche” is a track that refers to that moment in which the party is at the “trance point”, its zenith, when we wildly worship the night and, more specifically, the moment in which the music takes over our bodies & souls and we, like true night creatures, dance together. Remember the good times when this simple pleasure was guilt-free allowed?

BAQA once again! One of the leading proponents of the epic Mexican wave of cosmic disco Theus Mago returns to Pets with another collection of hair-raising, feather-ruffling, soul-spinning jams. Time for some 'Consolidation'.

'Shame' takes the lead. A thundering slug with a slo-mo arpeggio, like so many of Theus' most incisive cuts, the secret of the groove is in the layering as more and more elements slap into the mix creating momentum that borders on oblivion. Meanwhile on the remix, DC Salas boosts us into peaktime with weaves of percussion and sinister twists in all the right places.

'Don Camione' follows. A bouncing technoid treat where percussion and alien bleeps ricochet with mischief, it's a one way ticket to the naughtiest hours of the night, pranged out with the creepiest 8-bit flavours. Last but definitely not least, we wash the madness down with a generous dose of 'Peyote'. Pure Salvador Dali techno with every round-about and upside down twist you'd expect from Theus, and indeed Pets, this consolidates a lot of feels right here. Rave Dave would be proud.

We are glad to welcome back an important member of the Dust & Blood’s family, our close friend 
Darlyn Vlys, for his EP “Paper Tiger”. 
Darlyn Vlys is the boss of the very promising label “Polaris” launched in 2022 and already 
supported by the biggest names on the worldwide electronic scene. 
He distills music both nostalgic and futuristic that makes his public addicted. It’s therefore not 
surprising that famous labels as Correspondant, TAU, Roam Recordings, Aeon, to name a few, 
have placed their full trust in him, especially with his hits like “Kronos” and “Behind Us” made 
in collaboration with Damon Jee, “Doble Impacto”, “Return from Delta” and more... But was it 
really necessary presenting him? 

For this new EP “Paper Tiger”, Darlyn Vlys has decided to step out of his comfort zone and the risk was worth it! 
With the first track “Paper Tiger”, he strikes us an effective and powerful beat, in an indie techno spirit, with a cosmic voice that takes us far into 
the stars! 
The second track “Togedemaru”, in a minimal and warm style at the same time thanks to the percussions, he reveals his influences clearly 90s.
