To finish off this year we present the second issue of our podcast. This time Osiris had the pleasure to serve you some goodies. The co-founder of the label gives you an introspective into his excessive record digging habit with a trip through some soothing, sunny deep house which he finishes off on a exhilarating disco-y note.

Mister T. records is back with a new electrifying sonic voyage with Tourman, the crazy productive producer and DJ from the vibrant city of Vilnius, Lithuania. After “Gravitone” a first freebie released for christmas 2023, MTT records and @Tourmanvibes are teaming up again for 5 new tracks.

Set to release on the 20th of March, “La Voir Partir” comprise 3 original tracks, one acid mix and a remix by another great Lithuanian artist, famous for the MTT family, “Black Feeling” who already contributed to the label with on the italo compilation released in 2023.
The 5 tracks complete each other on a great tribute to 90s house grooves, with vocals, samples and atmosphere reminding the best years of rave culture and fast house tracks inspired by soft techno and trance anthems.

The EP opens with “Sentimental”, where Tourman worked with Aureja’s (@aurejadiscjockey) vocals to recreate the genuine raw energy of rave / prog house.
On “La Voir Partir”, Tourman continues the exploration of the underground speed house scene with a bit of aerial pads and piano stabs for a more melodic dancefloor killer.
Finally comes “Underfluencer”, a powerful tool oscillating between raw house beats, breakbeats, drops and sweet leads.

Influenced by euro-house, trance and 90s house and with seven years of experience in the music industry and a repertoire that includes releases on esteemed labels such as 39 Records, Whoyostro, and Hungarian Hot Wax, with “La Voir Partir”, Tourman will definitly become a name to be reckoned in the underground house scene.

When we think of groups and the people that form them, one of the main aspects of its cohesiveness is the existence of a jargon, an internal lexicon or a set of words that distinguishes its members and bonds them around common ideas and practices. Thus, no name is bestowed or concocted without an internal intention and an external connection, relating the experience of those who are a part of it with the world at large. For instance, the widespread usage of “digging” among the people obsessed with finding records as a term to define what they do is not gratuitous, it has bearing on the very reality that makes this act so similar to that of scavenging for precious materials. After all, both types of “diggers” go to great lengths and cover huge distances in order to unearth what they call a “gem”: something rare or simply worthy of the time and effort invested in its discovery. Noble undertakings in their own right that take specific talents and provide special rewards to those willing to partake, although with very different objects driving the passion of those involved. This sense of purpose is shared by all of our guests and turned into a sense of mission by a few explorers who are as adventurous as they are generous. And such is the exemplary case of the selector we gladly welcome in this episode, a voracious music lover who weaponised his tastes towards becoming a gifted rhythmic curator and a prolific dance instigator. However, dubbing Mario Goldengoat a proficient digger, as much as he is one of the most talented at this essential job, would only tell half the tale. His prowess can be fully appreciated whe he assembles his finds in carefully crafted mixes that put all of their individual beauty in irresistible evidence, which is exactly what we have here.

Having followed up her successful debut with the synth driven "Racing Heart" and the stunning "Always On Time" in more recent years, not to forget most recently her critically acclaimed new EP "Sanctified"; System Olympia has won fans over with her unique ear and keen eye to her sound, each time bringing something new to the table. As well as performing live shows, the artist also enjoys taking punters on journeys in her diverse DJ sets and this is where we move on to the mix. An hour of leftfield disco, rare boogie gems and synthy anthems all mixed to perfection. Pop that bottle of champagne, cue up the system and shine your phone light at the disco ball in your room. Dance for Relief is a project that's been on our minds for a while as a way using our music to help raise funds for causes that we are passionate about. With the world currently struggling with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic now felt like it would be the right time to get this project started.

The first project under this banner is a compilation of edits, remixes and secret weapons from various friends, with Volume 1 focusing on cosmic, tribal and trancey sounds of the 90s.

All money from this release will go straight to Direct Relief (directrelief.org), a charity who's mission is to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies, and who are doing great work to ensure that protective gear and critical care medications get to as many health workers as possible. We felt they were a particularly both in the midst of current Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

Finally, we'd like to say a huge thank you to all the artists involved who have given their skills and time during a difficult period to help make this release happen in support of a worthy cause.
