Premiere: Maral Salmassi "177X" - Konsequent Records

Dormancy is a mesh machine-like tweaks and dramatic themes that may have been inert until Eddie Hales songcraft forces it to stagger and sway with the synthetic rhythm. The title track begins with breathy synths and builds up its momentum with the bouncing beat. Impulses is a dramatic dance floor track, fencing chords tangle with the rhythm that pulses constantly. Bustling and elastic sound of Variant 1 evokes the body to move along its excitable groove. The tensile theme of JU-6 never looses its cools with the stagger drums. Jon Hesters remix of Dormancy keeps the overall theme but adding an old school approach as the track builds up with creamy synths juxtaposed with the clangy percussion.

For the 11th installment of our ongoing Breaking New Soil series, we have an all-star compilation for you! First up is Patrick Siech, a core member of the BNS family from the beginning: „Basscamp“ has it all - it´s one of those late-night jams that locks the dancers into its irresistible groove after seconds and won´t ever let them go - we think it´s a timeless piece of classic, yet modern Techno. Next up is Petar Dundov, who really needs no introduction: „Feed“ is unmistakeably a classic Dundov production, yet it is more dark and hypnotizing than you would expect from the melody wizard. Oliver Deutschmann, who just remixed one of our recent releases, handed in "Physics", a relentless piece of raw Techno showcasing his signature production style! Next up, we have our friend Marco Effe returning to Break New Soil with a massive Warehouse Techno anthem! Then, P-Ben from France, one of our favorite artists of the moment, who continuously delivers one killer track after the other: We are more than happy to have his debut for BNS: „Wookit“! Last but not least, Jacopo Susini returns to BNS after his debut 12inch last year, and once again the italian artist comes up with a raw Techno production that will take Techno floors by storm - this one is available exclusively digital. Reset Robot lines up a new EP on his own Whistleblower imprint titled Atomic Concept that spans six original tracks.

Once again he shows his production prowess with clear cut ideas ranging from epic acid, to stripped back dark funk. Always surprising and creative, his unique interpretations of techno are forever impressive and forward thinking that has lead to music released on Josh Wink's Ovum and Sven Väth's Cocoon amongst many others.

For this DT:Premiere we selected “Flying to the Top of Dorian’s Mountain” that is a compelling lesson in experimentation. A rolling rhythm advances forward underneath a loose string arrangement that seemingly floats freely with contrasting modular glitches and buzzing intensity.
