It is 1995 and a young musician named DJ Ma.D is playing at Club Im Park, a former punk club in Fürstenwalde. Four years into the future this musician would become a resident at OstGut and later be known to the world as @marceldettmann It is a thrilling honor for us to reintroduce you to this pioneering idea of Techno music from one of our most influential icons. With over 10,000 records to his name, DJ Nobu is deeply immersed in a wealth of sounds ranging from uncomplicated club anthems to those more experimental in nature. His Future Terror parties, hypnotising sets and lean catalogue have largely cultivated a reputation for menacing techno, though lucky for his fans he’s just as adept when it comes to upbeat house. For this, his second Bassiani Podcast outing, the latter takes the stage with the Japanese polymath delivering a three hour set of light and playful beats recorded live at Horoom in early April. Mixing everything from cheesy disco to tropical synths, this is a breath of fresh air from the sought-after cult figure from Chiba.
