I just saw a comment on another mix from someone who didn't know who DJ Pierre or Hyperactive was - So Sad ! I can't imagine what I'd be listening to these days of I didn't know who those two were,.,.One time I bought a mixtape directly from JoJo :) (Hyperactive) at the back of his car at the Dolton Expo Center he was so down to earth he let me walk in with him and I got into the party that night for free afterwards and at the time his track "Venus" was the most played track of the night almost every DJ played it Would love to see him do a live hardware set like he was doing back then He Was Like a God We all would wait for him to play and he always ripped it up...So cool,........

The Intersection 001 - Willow Springs

She is a producer and DJ whose sets carry a clear signature and genuine emotion. Shaleen tells stories through sound and pulsing, atmospheric journeys that reach far beneath the surface. Her music feels warm, her transitions vivid, driven not by perfection but by authenticity. This approach shapes not only her DJ sets but also her own productions. Alongside her Tresor West residency and her work as a producer and DJ, she carefully builds platforms of her own. With SURD, a multidisciplinary event series in the Ruhr area, she brings together electronic music, visual art and social discourse. And with Spellbound, her new label, she opens a space for experimental, hypnotic sounds – raw, playful and profoundly deep.

In an interview with Andre Kronert, Shaleen speaks about long hours in the studio, producing modularly and surrendering fully to improvisation. Without pre-planned structures or digital safety nets, she immerses herself in a creative process led by instinct. Her inspiration comes from personal experience and electrifying textures brought to life through analog equipment.
