It’s shaping up to be quite the summer for albums with a slew of our favourite producers announcing the release of full studio efforts as the mercury begins to climb. One of personal favourites to throw himself into the mix on the album front was the appropriately named Worthy whose announcement of a new LP was greeted with great excitement here at DT HQ. Entitled Disbehave, the album was billed “as a genre-defying rebellion against the house producers status quo” which refuses to be categorized and didn’t disappoint when it landed earlier in the month. 

Spending the last two years locked away in the studio working on his debut album, the question we were asking is what took him so long? Patience is a virtue and to celebrate the albums release we’ve hooked up with Worthy to deliver today’s exclusive Mix Of The Day.

With an in-depth knowledge of production, mixing, and performance, Worthy has the insight to play for his audience, cultivating intense positive energy on the dance floor for over a decade now. So with this in mind we thought we’d treat you to an exclusive mix from the man himself.

"The Pool" was a unique entity in the early-to-mid '80s out of Austin, Texas. The synthesizer project by drummer Patrick Keel released two albums and a series of EPs despite the gradual decline of the 'synth-pop' genre. "Jamaica Running" is the B-side to his "Dance It Down" single and the song appears to be a bit of an unusual track for The Pool, more laid back and groove focused than the rest of his work, which is more upbeat and energetic. With our edit we added a bunch of percussion and space echo dubs to give it a more tropical flair for our "Stir It Up" mixtape.

Ghostship is always one of my favorite parties of the year as it propels San Francisco's Halloween into the stratosphere.  This is our very own Clarkie's set from the the Dusty Rhino's sound stage at Ghostship 2014.  It's a dirty grinding mix of upbeat house tracks designed to move your booties.  Hope you enjoy.
