Initiated to jazz by his father and brought up to the sound of psychedelic pop of the 70s, Smoothie V. has been digging through vinyl bins for over 35 years.

In the 1990s, he discovered the house sound of Chicago and New York and bought his first set of turntables.

He then immersed himself in New York club culture (Paradise Garage, The Gallery...) and became an avid follower the legendary Body & Soul sound developed by François K, Danny Krivit and Joe Claussell. 

Deeply inspired by the Lucky Cloud Sound System loft parties, the London offshoot of David Mancuso’s seminal New York parties which he has been attending since 2007 and where David regularly played himself.

Smoothie V.  sets cover a wide range of musical genres going from ambient/jazz to fusion/rock/latin/dub and disco/ deep house …

Sophia BEN a été influencée par la house de Chicago et la scène électronique de sa région. C'est dans les clubs de Grenoble qu'elle a affûté son oreille, développant un univers musical singulier nourri par la soul, la disco, la house et la minimale.
Installée à Lyon, elle est reconnue pour ses sets groovy et rythmés, pensés pour chaque lieu et chaque moment.
Elle a joué à Paris, Marseille, Annecy, ainsi que dans des lieux phares comme SUCRE, GROOM, TERMINAL, LE PETIT SALON, NINKASI, LA MARQUISE, BELLONA, CCO LA RAYONNE, et dans des festivals comme WOODSTOWER, LA BUTTINERIE, PRALIDAYS.
En 2023, elle rejoint le collectif Dusty Nation, affirmant son ancrage local et son engagement artistique.

Crée en 2015, Dusty Nation est un collectif créé autour d’une passion commune : la musique électronique. Convivialité et diversité sont les valeurs défendues par nos fondateurs.
 « Dusty » représente la qualités des sons anciens avec la rythmique des sons actuels. « Nation », c’est l’envie de partager notre passion au plus grand nombre. 
Du côté de la musique, nos 6 artistes sont fortement influencés par les 90’s américaines, UK et évoluent entre House et Electronique :
