I'm going to be uploading various songs, live basic acoustic first takes, unrehearsed.. as they ask to be played.. - as I revisit a catalogue that stretches a way back.. as much to spur me into actually finishing writing them as anything else! Here's my latest: Barrie-v – Castles-in-the-sky-dancin-fool-version-by-barrie-v - these are 'songwriting doodles', mostly sat by the fireside with a jihad (which means guitar in olde Wulfrunian!) caught as they come to me and ask to be played.- so they're literally as they fly in, caught on an old minidisk recorder with a tiny electret condenser mic plugged straight into it.. (and as such, they're raw, and not in any way polished or 'produced'.. so for the moment this is raw songwriting as it happens stuff..) some are new, some from a way back.. asking to be played again.. they're like children.. growing.. : ) Time to breathe new life into these song children.. (what I've been doing is akin to sending yer kids out in tatty togs!) Sorry kids! I am on it! Promise! :)

Excerpt from my (musical) C.V.: I've worked and played with Joe Gallagher, Parvinder Bharat, Sen Gallagher, Roland Chadwick, Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, Surinder Sandhu, ColdCut and Dreadzone, amongst many others... too humorous to mention..
I collaborated and played with Dave Stewart, (Eurythmics/SweetDreamsAreMadeofThis) Coldcut and Dreadzone on the World's first Tri-Continental multicast; broadcast live simultaneously over three continents, via the Internet, Radio and TV.. for the BBC's Tomorrow's World TV programme.
I arranged, produced, and played on the World's first non-stop two hour live acoustic radio session - one of the last live shows at what was the BBC's iconic Pebble Mill for BBC Radio's Ben Turner.. with Joe Gallagher, Stew Jones and other members of the Jamplant.
I've also played numerous other live sessions for BBC Radio, including BBC Radio Yorkshire, WM, Radio WCR.. etc etc, as well as Sheep Music Festival, Pembroke festival, Wolverhampton Civic & Wulfrun Halls, and between 2002 - 2006 I played and ran live music nights, - the now legendary Jamplant - encouraging and showcasing new musical talent in Wolverhampton and Barnsley, totting up 600 live performances! Pheww..
I also play with words, lyrics, images.. visuals.. and philosophise a good deal. ..about tea mostly.. I have also been known to play a fine and unique selection of self-penned and 'cover material' for a very reasonable fee, and have been known to captivate audiences with jolly enjoyable slices of banter, scintillating repartee.. and by just by being rather splendid company!
