Folk, blues, pop, storytelling this E.P. has a mix of everything. Old Man the title track is based on Ernest Hemingways short novella about man's battle with nature. Fitzcarraldo is about the man made famous in the film by Werner Herzog. He wished to build an opera house in the Peruvian Amazon and with no money or resources shipped the marble from Italy. Ultimately a song of celebration in what we can achieve under any circumstances. Our Time is a song about all night festival parties, no further explanation needed. Lastly Jim Hawkins, named after the young adventurer in Treasure Island. It's a sea shanty but instead of being faithful to the tale we decided Jim would be better as a buccaneering pirate drinking rum and getting covered in tattoos.
