Hey. I'm BotanicSage. I make mashups and things for fun. 

pseudo-antigone is the musical production moniker for Edmonton-based philosopher and interdisciplinary artist Simone A. Medina Polo. At the beginning of 2021, pseudo-antigone debuted her brand of emotional hyperpop with the release of her EP Things are sinking in. Shortly after, this was followed up by her LP Into the Void of Infinite Sadness and its companion remix compilation which were met with an enthusiastic reception across Canada and beyond. In 2024, she released her sophomore self-titled album which was presented as a mature exploration of the major musical and thematic trends in pseudo-antigone’s creative work as a producer ranging from industrial bass to experimental pop as well as reflections on gender transition, her frustrations with casual racism, her revisited relationship with Latin American pop, as well as her studies in psychoanalysis.
