Chuck Richards is a bass player and a singer/songwriter. He's recorded and released four albums. He is currently playing bass with The Mondays, a band out of Santa Cruz, CA..The desire to compose and perform his own material necessitated that he attain a degree of mastery on the acoustic guitar.

Chuck Richards has had the distinct pleasure of working with some truly talented individuals. On his studio albums you will hear Christopher Hoffee and Matt Lynott (White Buffalo, Atom Orr and Truckee Brothers) and Matt Anderson on cello. On his home recordings you'll hear Gabe Robledo and Pat Alvirez (The Mondays). Chuck Richards was mentored in songwriting by antifolk originator Cindy Lee Berryhill, and Christopher Hoffee. He also had the distinct pleasure of playing with Prof. Marc McAneny and the late Jeff Buckley in his first original band, Eyes Open (circ. 1980s). Chuck Richards currently teaches English, guitar and bass guitar at an alternative school.

Look for Chuck Richards at solo performances and open mics in Merced and Santa Cruz. He can also be seen in Santa Cruz County playing bass with his current band, The Mondays.
