Let’s kickstart the year 2010 with some fresh Digital Reflection tunes! Oliver Kucera & Carlos Rios are no strangers anymore, 
Oliver already hit the label a while ago with his “Sjaak” and “Rock Bottom” bombs on DGR002, now it’s up to the dynamic duo, Kucera & Rios to rock again together. This time they break it down with a dark old school pounding tune with an amazing energetic drive running through it.

You better put on your dancing shoes with this one! A. Paul is probably one of the most multifunctional producers of the scene and we’re proud to present this man on the label. He kicks back with one of his specialties; pure uplifting techno but never leaves the funk behind.

Next is Voidloss, this analogue wizzard is always capable of tweaking his gear to some highly intelligent beat material. He brings us an emotional deep track with a solid kick loop and a great use of soundscapes and pads. Watch out for the future coming Dynamic Reflection releases, cause Voidloss will be on it with more of his sweetness. It’s been a while hearing from him, but Peter Gual is back in the game. This Spanish maniac comes up with some of the best broken beat madness. Dark beats, pounding kick loops and uplifting percussion is what you can expect. Almost reminds me of an old Reeko track.....

All 'n all a superior release on this puristic techno label, which perfectly reflects the current techno movement and promises loads more of that
sweet stuff in days to come...

Rraph, a leading artist in the Polish underground Techno movement, puts out his first solo vinyl release on Counter Pulse - Njord EP. No remixes necessary, just four pieces of pulsating techno grinders, already gaining support from Advanced Human, Anomaly X, Dubiosity, Giorgio Gigli, Ground Loop, Kwartz, Mattias Fridell, Myk Derill, NX1, Pfirter, Truncate.

Hailing from Taapion Records, based in Paris, France, co-label owner, Shlømo makes his debut on Wolfskuil Limited with ‘Avadon’ featuring a remix from none other than Antigone, one of Paris’ strong contenders who is also a part of the Taapion family releasing a track on its second release as well as recent EP on Token Records.

Shlømo, a young yet accomplished artist illustrates his maturity with complex rhythms in ‘Avadon Part 1’ by combining soft atmospheric textures with heavy pulsating bass and driving techno essentials. Conversely on ‘Avadon Part 2’ similar elements translate through more erratic and express percussions to introduce spatial effervescence sparking an expressive catharsis. In the Antigone remix of ‘Avadon Part 1’ the original track is flipped upside down as key components are more sensitive, purified and emotional leaving a lasting impression on the listener.

Both Shlømo and Antigone demonstrate their ability to stay true to their own personal style, a very key component in progressive artists.

Ctrls is an artist somewhat indivisible from Token. All six of his EPs have come out via the label, melding turbo-charged rhythms with gritten, celestial synth-work. Following Ø [Phase]'s sweltering 'Tunnel Vision/Internal Conflict' 12” and an all-start remix EP of Inigo Kennedy's 'Requiem', Ctrls' latest release comes in the form of an ethereal two-tracker - 'Two Worlds' and 'Onto Them'.

'Two Worlds' feels like something of a voyage sonically to say the least. Elysian synth-soundscapes build gracefully across the tracks opening minutes, a beautiful reminder of Ctrls' ability to craft music outside the boundaries of the dancefloor. Glitched-up drum loops are introduced at the opportune moment, stumbling alongside a simmering reduction of the opening section. As the track progresses the two sections build together in perfect harmony, transitioning fluidly between Ctrls' contrasting elements.

The flip-side ventures into harder territories, thumping low-end and biting melodies showing a similar mix of timbres. 'Onto Them' is laced with close-cut delays and groaning spring reverbs, adding a characteristic layer of roughness to Ctrls' precisely engineered production.

While the sound is very much in line with his previous work, there is something effortless about Ctrls' work here. The 'Two Worlds' EP has a flexible, straight-forward quality to it, feeling as though he has hit his stride artistically with an incredibly clear vision.
