This has been sitting around on my hard drives for a while and I've thus far failed to write any vocals for it. I'm pretty pleased with it, so far, though. I think it needs a more solid low end. What do you think?

I haven't made anything new in ages, and it's been years since I uploaded anything I have made. Therefore: This thing.

I replaced my old iPad Pro with a new one, only to find two apps I paid for weren't available anymore. One can't even be installed. The one that can, Impaktor, crashes on start and the developer hasn't responded to my inquiry.

I had been meaning to make more use of this app for some time, but never got around to it because I wanted to get a contact microphone for it, but that also requires an audio interface for the iPad... Many years go by and now it's an abandoned app (they don't say that on their website).

I messed around with it today on my old iPad Pro (which Apple's contractor claims is damaged and not worth any exchange, so I had them send it back to me... and sure enough, it's in perfect condition, like it was when I sent it to the assholes). My many hours of time spent resulted in this short stupid track. Lots of the percussion sounds in this are from Impaktor. Also a few are Logic loop content. There's a little iOptigan in there, as well (organs).

Re-upload of an old song turned into new song (updated lyrics/vocals). This was originally from an old 4-channel tracker module I did in the early 90s. It has been seriously upgraded. Bigger, better, longer, proper instruments (synths, mandolin, guitar) and vocals. Done in Logic.

This piece started its life in Korg Gadget on an iPad Pro, and was then exported to Logic, where it received some processing and refinement.

passing through irrelivancy (1-6-2016)

Started out forcing myself to be constructive by messing around with hardware synths until i found something i liked. Recorded a simple part into Logic and built upon it for many hours, using various synthesizers (mostly hardware), Logic's FX, a mandolin, my voice, and an iOS app for modeled cello (FingerFiddle).

nonspecific dissatisfaction (9-6-2016)

I started this track in July of 2016. I put the vocals together in March of 2017, feeling compelled to comment about the way my country's government was trying to rewind all progress [and my country has just chosen that again, hence revisiting this post]. I'm beyond disgusted at the trajectory of things. I could spit blood [again].

Luckily, the progressive people, who are normally asleep during democrat administrations, are also pretty disgusted and are doing whatever they can to resist this acceleration of dystopia... [though today's edit needs to mention the fact that there's a divide & conquer assault against the American left, with professional "Centrist™" types helping boost pre-existing infighting, so that the tiny minority of actually-progressive left-leaning people get attacked from all sides: from within their center-right/neoliberal party (wrongly stated to be "left" or "liberal") and from without. Lots of it is probably organic "sincere" human conflict, but some of it is definitely coming from formal propaganda efforts, and it's really hard to distinguish between them to have any guess as to whether or not to bother trying to engage people in conversation online.]

[I originally started the lyric writing when someone said "at least we still have each other" somewhere online, maybe on Facebook or pre-Musk Twitter. That comment triggered me because many people are deeply isolated and only "have each other" online. Since I seem better at verbose prose than poetry, I started with spoken word; I should probably try that more often. The rest came together somehow, I guess. I suck at writing lyrics and vocals, but occasionally it happens.]

Inspired by Elise...

i re-recorded a few pieces of vocals that were bugging me and made slight change to the vocal mixing. Still has the additional background vocals, thanks to the lovely Jacqueline.

No matter how far away you think it is, it's actually much farther...

I recently repaired my Korg M3m touch screen. i needed an excuse to use it. Not that there's much in this song that comes from it. Glad to have been productive. Hope you enjoy. Mostly instrumental with a few bits of speaking.

Electronic musician, but you wont find dance music or insect noises here. These tracks come from different eras and modes in my music composition history, but they all came from me in one form or another.

The tracks with Red Light Ballroom are auditions i did with a band (they were looking for a lyricist/vocalist). i did the words and vocals, but the rest is the band.
