En esta ocasión tratamos el tema de la pandereta y las pandereteras, una figura muy ligada al folklore y el patrimonio cultural inmaterial de la provincia de Palencia, y que sin embargo, entró en un declive considerable a partir de la década de los 80 del siglo pasado.
Nuevas formas de hacer llegar la música de raíz a las nuevas generaciones, y nuevas formas de entender la transmisión oral están logrando que el instrumento de la pandereta vuelva a resurgir en fiestas, bailes y conciertos. ¿Hemos valorado lo suficiente la labor de las pandereteras?

Sambhavā (सम्भवा):—One of the twelve guṇas associated with Piṇḍa, the seventh seat of the Svādhiṣṭhāna-chakra. According to tantric sources such as the Śrīmatottara-tantra and the Gorakṣasaṃhitā (Kādiprakaraṇa), these twelve guṇas are represented as female deities. According to the Ṣaṭsāhasrasaṃhitā however, they are explained as particular syllables. They (e.g. Sambhavā) only seem to play an minor role with regard to the interpretation of the Devīcakra (first of five chakras, as taught in the Kubjikāmata-tantra).

"Sambhava" might be interpreted as "positive being" (Ñanamoli), i.e. being as actual as opposed to possible (or negative), being as manifest.

En Samain regresaban a casa las grandes guerreras, que en primavera habían partido para combatir en las distintas contiendas, repletas de riquezas, prestigio y asombrosas historias que contar. Ellas eran los HEROÍNAS. Para festejar su vuelta se celebraba una gran fiesta que podía durar hasta una semana y que concluía bajo la enigmática luz de la luna llena, que representaba a las DIOSAS, a las que se agradecía por la vida y por las cosechas del año. Pero también era el momento en el que la comunidad al completo, asumía las pérdidas de sus DIFUNTAS, que eran recordadas y homenajeadas en emotivas representaciones.

In Samain returned home the great warriors , who had left in spring to fight in diverse wars, full of wealth, prestige and amazing stories to tell. They were the HEROINS. To celebrate their return, a great feast was held that could last up to a week and ended under the enigmatic light of the full moon, representing the GODDESS, who were thanked for life and for the harvests of the year. But it was also the moment in which the whole community assumed the losses of their DEADS, which were remembered and honored in emotional representations.
