With a strong foothold on the diehard progressive rock/metal circuit worldwide as well as a dominant place at the top of Australia’s prog scene, ARCANE has signed with Sensory Records for the international release of their epic new double-disc conceptual masterpiece, Known/Learned.

Occupying a unique place in the Australian progressive music scene, ARCANE formed in 2006, and the following year issued their now out of print debut album, Ashes. Since, the band’s transcendental live performances have captivated fans across their home country, and their monumental recorded works draw in fans abroad. Their respectable success is largely to their immersive sound, and the vocals of Jim Grey, something that was immaculately portrayed in their 2009-released critically acclaimed, dark and enigmatic concept album Chronicles Of The Waking Dream, an album which has helped earn them an inimitable reputation as one of Australia’s premier progressive rock bands.

In 2013, ARCANE sanctioned Sam Vallen (Caligula's Horse) to produce their most massive album to date, a two-part conceptual masterpiece entitled Known/Learned, with two CDs totaling an immense two hours of music. The first movement, Known, delivers a more traditionally-oriented progressive rock performance, and the second, Learned, takes a lighter, more acoustic/folk inspired journey, both opuses forming one central storyline. The recordings were mastered by Troy Glessner at Spectre Mastering in Seattle, and the album’s cover art provided by Chris Stevenson-Mangos.

Ben Falgoust of Goatwhore (07-10-2015) Interview

The Compound Recs, in conjunction with Terror Cult Records, is very pleased to unveil the debut release from New Orleans-based hardcore punk collective CLASSHOLE.

Featuring a varied cast of miscreants hailing from such acts as Eyehategod, Hawg Jaw, Outlaw Order, The Mystick Krewe Of Clearlight, Mountain Of Wizard, Mangina, Tire Fire, haarp and more, CLASSHOLE will unleash their self-titled full-length next month, just in time to ruin the New Year.

Leaving poetics to the wayside, CLASSHOLE spews forth a corrosive blast of combative angst with every enraged second of the production. The band’s venomous output is the product of its surroundings in more ways than one. The riotous ways of the members’ collective output and the bustling, diverse New Orleans metal underworld being fueled by societal corruption on every level makes for fifteen mutinous tracks of filthy hardcore punk revolt.

Already released in a limited vinyl run as the maiden release for the band’s own Terror Cult Records, Classhole will now see a full-on CD release through The Compound Recs., with a four-panel digipak version featuring an alternate layout and a lyric liner, and bonus video of the band performing five vicious tunes from the record live in NOLA.

Classhole will be officially unveiled on January 1st, 2016.
