Mollono.Bass tanzt in vielerlei Hinsicht aus der Reihe. Er schielt kaum auf aktuelle Trends, nutzt ungeniert alle Mittel der Klangerzeugung und schlägt so einen eindrucksvollen Spagat zwischen Tanzbarkeit und Tiefgang. Aber da ist noch etwas, das in seinen organischen Grooves mitschwingt und ihnen Leben einhaucht: Freundschaft. Die ist auf der ersten von insgesamt drei Auskopplungen zu seinem neuen Album nicht zu überhören. Die Freundschaft zu Seth Schwarz kommt in dessen virtuosem Violinspiel zum Ausdruck. Zusammen mit den dubbigen Beats und warmen Klangfarben von Mollono.Bass entsteht hier fließende Eleganz von geradezu symphonischem Ausmaß. Wunderbar harmonisch fügen sich auch die Gitarrenakkorde von Jörg Schwenzer zwischen die treibenden Rhythmen. ULMOS & QUELTEHUES y ambos fueron compuestos y grabados en la Cordillera de los Andes, Patagonia y Berlín, entre febrero y mayo del presente año, como una prolongacion del album Manantial lanzado en febrero de 2016.

Queltehues: ‘tiene sonidos de queltehues, pájaros de Los Andes; de los que se cuenta la leyenda mapuche de que son guías, protectores, espíritus mágicos en los lugares salvajes donde uno se puede perder’.

Ulmos: ‘Es un tema que me han inspirado los treckings que hicimos en la Patagonia; entre arboles tan salvajes, grandes, majestuosos y todos sus ecosistemas que se van interrelacionando alrededor como los ulmos, coigües, Tineos, Maiños, olivillos, arrayanes, alerces, helechos , musgos y liquenes. Mas la fauna salvaje del entorno y su habitat’.
