2015 was a year that catapulted EATBRAIN deep into the awareness of the drum and bass scene and concreted their place as one of the most crucial and influential labels in the forward-thinking neuro genre. Their first release of 2016 lands an effective blow with AGRESSOR BUNX at the helm, with these upcoming producers illustrating their production expertise in diving into sinister depths of dnb tech to manifest THE ORDER EP.

Within the bowels of the earth lies a place where the dark energy dwells – a point at which unrivalled power flows through the shadowy conduits of timeless technology. At these depths dwells a race of faceless beings – THE ORDER - with the unique ability to twist and forge the strands of potent power into the complex audio forms of a new wave of neurofunk.

Featuring 5 dynamic tracks with the trademark stripped percussion of Agressor Bunx, exquisitely punctuating towering basslines and precisely placed sonic explorations of a rich sonic palette. Talk of a place where the greatest of mecha roam, gathering amongst the desolate ruins of a war prepared for and never fought. The first explorers returned with stories of low frequency weapons, harvested from the ruined depths of a subterranean complex. With these re-engineered into towering relays capable of pure sonic carnage, the lands began filling rapidly with pilgrims from distant places, offering themselves as captives to their own higher mental states. What was once a mere whisper has now become legend, with this meeting of the mightiest clans bringing forth the greatest frequency warriors to stake out their claims. 

EATBRAIN casts a long shadow across the fray, setting seasoned label veterans L 33 and MINDSCAPE into the hordes of adrenaline-fuelled ravers alongside recent label additions MACHINECODE and AGRESSOR BUNX - all of whom have LPs coming on the label as well as appearing at the festival. A tight manifesto is stretched across the 4 rowdy and high-energy tracks that make up the EATBRAIN GOES TO LET IT ROLL, with the irresistible audio manipulative skills of Eatbrain crafted to exquisitely tear up the dance. Whether it's hard techno, industrial hardcore or drum & bass, dance music producer The Clamps has stayed at the helm of its ever-growing scene. And having such a wide array of influences has helped him to become one of the most notorious players in the darkest realms, having already grown within the trenches of French label Kosen Production, a platform well known for pushing forward likeminded artists. Whether it's his collaborations with the likes of Nick Bee and Redject, or his standalone singles, he's been heralded by many as a pivotal art within the underground, which is why the announcement of his forthcoming album was met with great anticipation from across the market.

Already releasing on the likes Prolix's Trendkill, Invisible, Eatbrain, Titan and Impact Music, he's made his music felt throughout a wide range of imperative labels. The second part of his 'Odyssey LP' sampler packages comes in the form of both 'Looking for Trouble' featuring the notorious Nuklear MC and 'LHS 1140b', which highlight the LP's versatility whilst also engineering two darkly atmospheric cuts which pull you into the sound which The Clamps is renowned for.

If you're a frequent visitor of the international DJing circuit, you're sure to have heard the sampler's A-side 'Looking For Trouble'. It's a destructive call to arms, one which bares its sonic artillery but first rolls out on strung-out note patterns, a rolling soundscape and an intro which pulls you up an intimidating breakdown. As the track catapults into its first immersive plunge, you're taken for the ride and each constructed hook grabs at you with an intimidating snarl, alongside Nuklear's growling lyricism. 'LHS 1140b' is just as gripping but in its own way, with a heavily distorted bassline and crashing drum sequences which create an effortlessly driving single. This is a secondary sampler proving that The Clamps forthcoming album is a force to be reckoned with. It also pedestals the type of diversity which he's historically championed for, although this can only be expected from an artist who's devoted himself to his craft for such an expansive time frame.

With a history of collaboration in the form of “Reign in Hell” on PRSPCT recordings, as well as solo releases across labels such as Algorythm Recordings & Yellow Stripe Recordings, the 2 part team created by this pairing now bring their hardcore influenced drum & bass sounds to OTHERCIDE for a devastating single release. SPIDER’s initial creeping rhythm grows in stature over its introduction, quickly becoming a brash arpeggiated lead that provides the springboard for the track’s primary aspect, a sharply edged bassline that moves to a funk fueled rhythm atop a torrent of percussion. The menacing atmosphere of HATRED finds quarter with its predecessor, driven by similar tonality as its vocal sample calls forth a destructive assault of straight beat drums & a gnashing bassline, before reaching its peak in a furious flurry of its many elements combined.
