The 28th 꿈 kkum episode is a two hours DJ set by Christian Samsara, an ambient artist based in Denmark.

Christian Samsara는 덴마크 태생의 DJ이자 레코드 컬렉터이다. 일렉트로닉 음악에 대한 그의 여정은 어린나이에 시작되었고, 큰 열정을 품은 앰비언트 장르의 디제이가 되었으며 오랫동안 고향 덴마크를 비롯한 전 세계의 수많은 축제와 이벤트에서 공연해왔다.
자연과 고립된 장소에서 영감을 받은 그의 믹스는 깊은 영화적 사운드 스케이프와 유기적인 텍스처 레이어가 돋보이는 앰비언트/다운 템포/IDM 음악으로 이루어진다.
그는 2015년부터 Ultimae Records에 합류했으며, 다가오는 컴필레이션 발매를 위한 작품을 선정하고 있다.

Christian Samsara is a Danish-born DJ and record collector.
His journey into electronic music began back in his early teenagehood and after a few years, he discovered the electronic ambient genre which grew into his big passion and later on, lead him behind the decks.
Since the beginning of his DJ carreer, he performed at a great number of festivals and events accross the world and of course in his homeland, Denmark.
Inspired by the nature and isolated places, his mixes are often a selection of ambient / downtempo / IDM music with deep cinematic soundscapes and layers of organic textures.
He joins Ultimae Records in 2015 and is currently selecting works for an upcoming compilation release.

For last year's label compilation, I mentioned how I hoped to invite a guest DJ to compile the next edition, and here we are. Of course, it just had to be our long-term musical companion, a good friend of mine, and well-respected DJ, todos.

I was first introduced to todos through his well-respected Kilchurn Mix series. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, they remain some of my favorite mixes of all time (listen to them all on the ASIP site when you get a chance). His ability to craft a narrative, manipulate samples and respect the grey area between ambient and electronic music, is second-to-none.

Since blogging about his mixes all the way back in 2008, and inviting him to compile a special isolatedmix a few years later, Doug (todos) and I have stayed in touch and connected further after learning we grew up with very similar musical trajectories. Doug also coincidentally, ended up living where my family is today (and where I spent my life growing up) in a surprising twist of fate. And in 2021, after years of speaking online, we finally got to meet, play records (in real life!), and go for a long overdue beer.

I always earmarked Doug to be a part of ASIP somehow, so it is my absolute pleasure to hand over the DJ reins for the 2021 compilation edition. Doug had free choice over which tracks to choose, as long as he included one track from each release of the year. Rainforest walks, oceanic journeys, following winding paths & flowing waters, mysterious yet familiar voices in the depths of the jungle, finding and experiencing foreign cultures, and again and again the sound of the ocean, and of course the birds. Nature as a friendly counterpart, but at the same time always under tension and in the utmost attentiveness.

In search of inner peace, since it seems impossible to find this peace on the outside. Nevertheless, this search remains a task for all time & hopefully always a faithful companion.

Welcome to the 15th chapter of the Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. This months set is a LONG one!! Almost 3 hours of the finest ambient music mixed by Pjusk! Enjoy.

Bio:

Pjusk is Rune Sagevik and Jostein Dahl Gjelsvik from the west coast of Norway – both from small villages close to nature. The sound of Pjusk is inspired by the harsh Norwegian weather and wild landscape. At the center point of the collaboration between the two is an old cabin high up in the mountains. This is where most of the music of Pjusk is made – framed by snowy peaks and the sound of cold streams.

Our joint track with the Italian poet Ilaria Boffa. I don't read poetry - only sing. Her poem "Foreign" in English is read by Ilaria. It's very significant, and i subscribe to every word, as if they are mine!
At the end of the track, Ilaria’s childish voice sounds.
