Rock, roll, jazz, funk & soul. With an explosively dynamic and passionate live performance and songs to match, this five-piece from Sheffield are already filling venues as one of the most talked about bands on their home circuit without so much as a single studio release.

Their style, coloured with the big sounds of 70's rock and Pink Floyd inspired guitar work, comprises influences ranging from 60's funk and soul right through to modern day neo-soul and jazz. Drifting effortlessly from subtle pin-drop melodies to dancefloor fillers to soaring roars of emotion, their shows - spearheaded by the raw energy and passion of frontman Jamie - are dynamic and inspiring. Having dropped their debut release ‘Gravity’ on the 16th March via ModernSky UK, Brooklin are a rising wave in a placid ocean of the often soul-less and commercial music of today.

For singer-songwriter Cecil, music has always been her life's passion.

The Berkshire born artist's music has grown in notoriety over the last year most notably with the release of her debut EP which has received support both nationally and regionally from the BBC as well as additional support from many other radio stations throughout the UK.

Cecil started to show signs of her musical talents from a young age, inspired by the sounds of her mother's drum kit she began to sing in her formative years naturally progressing to sitting at the piano in her early teens. Her musical direction quickly grew from piecing together adolescent lyrics to producing credible songwriting and captivating live performances.

Another inspiration in Cecil’s journey comes in the form of her Great Uncle, Cecil McGivern. An instrumental figure, who was a broadcasting pioneer and went on to earn the prestigious accolade of an Oscar nomination for his screenplay of the classic 1946 version of ‘Great Expectations’.

This shared creative trait and drive for success have always been influential for Cecil, who has gone from strength to strength throughout 2017, playing at festivals and venues around the country. In particular, she has opened the main stage at the Big Feastival, played BBC's Carfest and Henley Festival as well as headlining at the o2 Academy Islington.

Cecil is currently working on her debut album and is definitely one to watch in 2018.

Lino Casu was born 24.12.1978. At the age of 6 he took classic Guitar lessons but what took a big part of his Soul was his first Computer (386 IBM) at the age of 10. He experimented with Mod-Plug-Tracker on Amiga in the early age of 14. Stumbled over Cubase on an Atari not very much later and till today he loves to create out of Noise Something that at last might could be understood as Music.
