Dan Loops (Formerly known as Pro-VERB) is a Sheffield-born acoustic rap artist, poet, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and videographer.

Combining witty rap lyrics with beautiful guitar arrangements, beatboxing and vocal loops.

He supported Kate Tempest at the Lyric Festival Sheffield in 2012 and the played the 02 Arena in 2011. Spending 2011 -2014 playing anywhere and everywhere, Honing his craft. He is a regular at festivals far and wide including Sheffield’s Tramlines. He is set to release his debut album within the next year.

The People are 4 member alternative/progressive rock band from Sheffield consisting of Rowan Scott, Mark Wills, Tom Monk and Peter Snowden. Their sound is influenced by a wide range of genres, artists and composers and they employ a dynamic musical style featuring distorted guitar riffs, melodic synthesizers and atmospheric interludes.

Taking inspiration from such diverse artists such as Billy Joel, Frank Turner, The Beatles and Tim Minchin, Dan Poole really does bring a sense of uniqueness to his music. By combining acoustic guitar with subtle humour along with looped vocal lines and cheeky guitar riffs, a smile is bound to be put on your face when listening to Dan Poole.
‘’My songs are a journal of how I feel, and I have no problem explaining my lyrics to people. It annoys me when people say that music is travelling in the wrong direction; how can it be when there is still singer/songwriters out there writing music that they love; music isn’t something in the charts that only clubs play, it’s something that we all have and we all love.’’ says Dan. Whether its lyrics describing his hatred for time travelling hipsters or a soppy love song, Dan’s lyrics are sure to relate to anyone putting a very definable feel to all his songs.
He has been playing local for a few years playing at large events such as the Queens Jubilee Celebration (Stamford Meadows) and the SNAP Festival. He thoroughly enjoys making people laugh and smile and always leaves his performance with a positive outlook.
After starting a Degree in Music for Practitioners, Dan has recorded his first Demo EP featuring 5 tracks; upbeat and from the heart ‘Measurements’ is a real testament to Dan’s music and really shows off all his skills as a travelling Singer/Songwriter.
