‘Interlinked’ is the fifth release on Emile Facey’s new imprint, however the title track was originally written just after the UK’s EU referendum in 2016. Having forged many strong musical ties with other European countries over many years, the UK’s vote to leave the EU left him feeling disconnected and saddened. Now that the UK has left the EU and musicians try to navigate the impact on electronic music, a culture that thrives on being completely ‘interlinked’ he felt it was time to release this track that expresses that sadness but also conveys some hope for a future in which music can connect us all again.

The B side starts with the driving urgency of ‘Ancient Voice’, future electro designed to move dance floors when they return. Closing track ‘The Silent Flock’ is a slower, more contemplative expression of discovery and hope. Music produced by Emile Facey in the UK, mastering by Boris Divider in Spain and pressed by Deep Grooves in The Netherlands.

This is the second in a series of hand-numbered, limited edition vinyl records. Pressed and manufactured by eco-friendly pressing plant Deep Grooves.

Inspired by Clarissa Pinkola Estés canonical text, Women Who Run with the Wolves (1992), the eponymously titled Donne che corrono coi lupi is a dedication to feral feminine energy, connection and sisterhood. In the book, Estés – a psychoanalyst, poet and cantadora, or “keeper of old stories” – draws on Jungian theory to weave an alternative mythology of The Wild Woman archetype. She conjures images of the underworld, rivulets of menstrual blood; a lumpen mass of placenta splattering onto a cave floor. In a mirrored gesture, for Donne che corrono coi lupi, more than twenty artists and producers have come together, giving rise to a primal, mystical compilation destined to entrance and ensnare.

With the necessary vinyl reissue of Not Waving’s sophomore solo LP Redacted (2013), Alessio Natalizia reminds us of his nascent psychedelic side in light of his lucid, skizzo deviations on the Animals album for Diagonal. While there’s a mutual sense of technoid momentum to both albums, Redacted is a far gauzier, freeform and sensual beast; one richly steeped in proto/post-club atmospheres and allowing his imagination to run away with itself.

Conceptually, Redacted pursues the “classified” themes of his Remote Viewing-inspired Umwelt (2013) LP into even murkier departments, drawing subtly ‘marish parallels between the cold war atmospheres that birthed original post punk, industrial and proto-techno, and the current pallor of socio-political unrest that pervades our present situation.

Omitting the original tape’s expansive closer for the sake of a single LP cut, this vinyl version plays out like an alternative soundtrack to scenes in the overgrown, radioactive zones of Tarkovsky’s Stalker, using an anachronistic palette of analogue machinery to emphasise a sense of fluid, shimmering motion and out-of-place-and-timelessness that genuinely goes straight to the head with trippy effect. 

Swampy slow techno horror themes vacillate with decayed pastoral panoramas and windows of synthetic optimism, both lush and disquietingly needling, using dissonance and sweeps of hazy noise to ultimately spell out a foreboding but dreamlike sort of electronic subterfuge and suspense that resonates with the nostalgic Stranger Things score as much as Leyland Kirby’s Intrigue & Stuff series.

Three years have passed since the latest outing from Area Forty_One. The low-profile Dutch producer makes a welcome return to Delsin with four of his intergalactic explorations. It's the third and final part of his Nocturnal Passions EP series on the label and once again a fine spaced-out collection of ambient, deep sea techno, downtempo grooves and icy electro blending into cinematic soundscapes. It's an absorbing and thoughtful entirety, ticking all boxes for fans of deep and powerful electronica.

This double A-sider is the fruit of a long gestating collaboration with fellow Malmö-based record collector/selector & producer Simon alias Rizzolo DJ (alias Moisture). Closely intertwined with the label in various ways since the start, his path to producing started with re-edits and a more wild-haired approach to deejaying, finally landing into his own groove with the 2018 album A Freak Is Born. Released as a privately pressed cassette, the album featured two tracks co-produced with Fasaan founder Prins Emanuel. 

On that first album, the palette was a lo-fi reverie of minimal waves crashing into depths of goth and heights of camp. Here for the 12” format, we instead get the full onslaught of power tools gleaming in the blast of strobe lights. The weight of GAMMUT unfolds and delivers exactly what the title suggests: a complete scope of percussive barrage unleashed in tight locked grooves and smattering reverberations. In addition to that, we are treated with a spine-tingling re-imagining of the concept of a bass drop. 

For ORGONE, a 1984 track by Norwegian group Fra Lippo Lippi serves as the backbone of the composition. Championed by cosmic DJ Daniele Baldelli and here pitched down to wrongspeeder tempo, Moisture uses the original song to bridge the gap between his roots in the re-edit scene as well as in the cosmic tradition. Thedry  mechanical bassline is flanked by hollow percussion that eventually propels into a crystal-chimmering microcosm of orgone energy.
