That's right, there's a day all about the history and love for pianos. As a 6th edition, following the Piano Day, an annual worldwide event, created by Nils Frahm in 2015, ECU label is launching its very first Various and physical CD release with enlisted help from outstanding contemporary classical and electronic music artists, as a close team!

The 88 Notes reflects the piano in its diversity and allows artists from different styles and backgrounds to connect and celebrate the piano together. We picked very carefully artists who have been involved in the Piano Day project since the beginning in 2017 with Les Charades Électroniques, and artists that we'd like to see in the future. moicflo.com/what-s-on/pianoday

The whole compilation will be out on Tuesday, March 29 on your favorite platforms, and presented with a physical CD limited to 100 copies to be shipped end-April, 2022.

Pianist since the age of 4, Géraldine Kwik lives and works in Lille. Professional musician since 2007, she followed the teaching of the pianist Vladimir Soultanov at the Conservatory of Arras, then that of Hugues Rousé at the Jazz department of the Conservatory of Tourcoing. Multidisciplinary, she also studies architecture, photography, cinema and directing. Shebegan her career as a composer for brands and advertising by creating her own agency and became the winner of the Franco- Quebecois prize in the Talents competition as an entrepreneur. She was also selected by director Olivier Dahan as a finalist in the Audi Talents Competition. In an advertising agency, she composes for many international brands and holds the position of music supervisor.
In 2018, she joined the Rencontres audiovisuelles and composed more than fifty soundtracks for video mapping shows. His music is played in public in the big cities of the Hauts-de-France region, but also in Singapore, Skopje, Brussels or London, sometimes collaborating with the CNC or opera singers. Recently, she wrote, performed and recorded the music for Entre deux, a creation by Italian choreographer Cristina Santucci, in residence at the Ballet du Nord with her company A Corpo, under the direction of Sylvain Groud. At the same time, Géraldine composed more than twenty works for piano, which she made known through her Walking Man series, broadcast on Youtube.

To be a composer of a soundtrack for a video mapping show is first and foremost to adopt a listening posture with regard to heritage, history, the link with local residents and the community, and the project built as a team with colleagues in the visual arts. Secondly, it means knowing how to appropriate a whole register of sound and culture that invites us to explore both modern technologies and ancestral instruments. This makes it an exciting discipline for a visual composer. You need to be humble, imaginative and emotionally creative.

Here I publish everything that is beautiful to hear.  Sometimes I whisper to myself a poem, a song, maybe you will like it.
