I started Djing in 2001 on vinyl. Started out with some old belt drive Gemini turntables before progressing to a set of 1210s and as technology moved forward onto CDJs! 

I have had a passion for electronic music from my early teens, started with more commercial dance music before I was introduced to more underground house & techno, from then everything changed and a whole new world of music was opened up to me! 

Techno is my main passion and I love spending the time selecting tracks and creating sets.

Al has held DJ residencies in Scotland, Australia, and New Zealand. Played gigs in Japan, the legendary Full Moon Parties on Paradise beach, and the backyard club in Koh Phangan in Thailand.

State of Grace has welcomed many incredible DJ's and producers to the Highlands over the years, including, Jamie Anderson, Louis Osbourne, Parks and Wilson (Renaissance) , Anthony Pappa (Renaissance), Mauro Picotto, Patterson and Price (Cool Lemon), James Holden, Jon Pleased Wimmun, Craig Walsh, Nigel Dawson (Renaissance), Red Jerry (Hooj Choons), Blu Peter (Reactivate), Mrs Woods (Reactivate), Sean Pollen (Airtight), Jon Mancini (Streetrave), Ian 'Boney' Clark (Streetrave), Lee Burridge (Burning Man/Tyrant), Taka Motumura (Protocol Japan), Steve Mac (Rhythm masters), Junior Perez (Club UK), and many, many more.

Al still plays festivals and Gigs in Scotland, with new S.O.G dates planned in 2023.
