@soelaela, who lives in Berlin, has created her very own sound between sensual house music and minimalist dub techno and has released on labels such as Dial, Sushitec, Kompakt and others. This year, she also released a track called "The thing for him" on the Freude am Tanzen compilation. You can also find a detailed interview with her in the sixth issue of Fatplastics magazine. My @kashemezurich session from their lovely living room & cocktail lounge in the heart of Zurich back in September. I went full 90s hip hop instrumentals and related downtempo for this one. Although it was my first time mixing all of this music together after collecting most of it during 2022, and not as tight as I would like it, it was definitely a nice vibe at the time...hope you enjoy! Mixed on Varia Instruments RDM40, 2x CDJ-3000, 1x Technics 1200m3d, under the influence of several amazing cocktails...

This new mix showcases the sound I hear in my head when I think about a beautiful hybrid of breakbeat, techno and electro. It's also representative of the kind of Elite Force sets you'll hear from me in the live arena, as I return to the fray in 2023 after a four-year absence!

To craft a mix that had the exact feel I was looking for, I used 24 tracks in some shape or form, pulling many of them apart, rearranging them and adding liberal ly from my own extensive sample library. This set includes 11 Elite Force VIP edits, several acapellas / acidapellas and lashings of breakbeat-techno-electro love.

The hypnotic momentum of the night passes to the hands of DJ Three as light begins to fill sky and the new day creeps ever closer.  For forty breathless minutes we wait… until at last the sun breaks over the horizon, and a collage of verbal musings, psychedelia and ornate music fills the air.  Toying with echoes and teasing with nuance, shutters fluttering to capture the fleeting moment…a moment not soon forgotten for those who were lucky enough to be there, at sunrise on Sunday, Black Rock City, Burning Man, 2014.   And then, just as easily as we are led into that place, a whole movement of sound and energy returns the dance floor.

Having upped this one to our Soundcloud late on Friday afternoon, it dropped just in time for the eagle eyed follower’s weekend enjoyment but it was just shy of the time required to present it proper, right here on this blog. So when we arrived to the office this Monday morning it was pretty neat to see the sentiments of respect and appreciation its weekend listeners have offered the mix’s creator, Eddie Richards, which we think does a neat service to the position he holds as an artist today. 'Evil' Eddie Richards is a proper Godfather figure to London's house scene and he remains a key player as resident at Nathan Coles and Terry Francis's celebrated Wiggle party. Owner of the recently reactivated imprint, Storm, Eddie also partners with Terry Francis for their regular Room Three takeover, Demo; a night of four four blended music created to showcase who they both see as the next wave of talent on the rise. 

The next Demo event is set to take place this coming Saturday night with Moon Harbour protégé, Sable Sheep  set to join them on the floor. So, seeing as we're also huge appreciators of what Richards does we thought it well timed to ask him to produce his own fabric x Demo Mix to hear what he’s filling his sets with at this point in time as well as some of the latest productions his has in store for release on Storm...
