A founding co-pilot of the internationally reknowned space music group, SPACECRAFT, Tony Gerber offers some servings of some other projects and solo musical explorations... from various live performances, festivals and including game soundtracks for "Pavilion", which is now available on STEAM, for your iphone, android and more... and most recently MARE for Oculus Quest and made it all the way to the Cannes Fest 2021 and Venice Film Festival 2021... in 2021 is also a new hurdy gurdy and Tony is deep into it...

Tony Gerber is a multifaceted musician and artist whose creative journey has spanned several decades, leaving an indelible mark on the realms of electronic music, visual art, and beyond.

Born with an innate passion for sound and expression, Tony Gerber's musical odyssey began in the Amish cornfields of northern Indiana and then to the vibrant music scene of Nashville, Tennessee, where he nurtured his art and life. Immersed in the rich cultural tapestry of the city, Gerber found inspiration in its diverse soundscape, from classical to rock, folk and country, to the soulful melodies of blues and jazz.

In the early 1970s, Gerber became captivated by the burgeoning electronic music movement, drawn to the boundless possibilities offered by synthesizers, sequencers, and other cutting-edge technologies. Embracing this newfound fascination, he embarked on a journey of sonic exploration, pushing the boundaries of traditional music genres and forging his own distinctive sound.

Throughout his career, Gerber has collaborated with a diverse array of artists and musicians, blurring the lines between musical genres and cultural boundaries. His work spans a wide spectrum of styles, from ambient and experimental to tribal and world music, reflecting his eclectic influences and adventurous spirit.

As a founding member of the pioneering electronic music ensemble SPACECRAFT, Gerber helped pioneer the genre known as spacemusic, blending hypnotic rhythms, ethereal textures, and immersive soundscapes to create evocative sonic landscapes that transport listeners to otherworldly realms.

In addition to his musical pursuits, Gerber is also an accomplished visual artist, exploring the intersection of sound, light, and space through his mesmerizing multimedia installations and performances. The Love Drums was created one day when Ed Haggard was sitting with his djembe and thought “ I Love Drums!” The name stuck and the groove has continued ever deeper. 🥁🔥

Ed is a beloved percussionist, drum teacher, and drum circle facilitator who radiates joy through rhythm. Since launching The Love Drums in 1995, Ed has brought high-energy, neo-tribal percussion to communities across the country—rocking the Nashville scene and lighting up festivals for over two decades.

Now based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, The Love Drums blends traditional African drumming, original grooves, and global influences into a pulse that gets people dancing. Their performances are interactive, uplifting, and rooted in community, often sparking spontaneous dance and shared joy.

🎶 Ed brings decades of experience, deep reverence for the drum, and a contagious spirit of play!

Ed has studied with master drummers including Mamady Keita, Bolokada Condé, Famadou Konaté, Koungbanan Condé, Aly Scylla, Joshua Strodtman, and has taught thousands of students in schools, recovery centers, churches, and community spaces. He also builds and reskins djembes and dununs  alongside his son Edison, who has drummed since childhood. Edison is now the lead djembe soloist for the band while helping guide The Love Drums into the future.
