EDMID Fall Frequencies 2021

SVNF8 might be one of the freshest faces in the scene but is already catching the ear of fans and tastemakers alike with their insane techno soundscapes. Defined by the mission to "change the way people perceive electronic music" this masked artist has begun to accomplish that goal with each passing release that has landed on labels like mau5trap, Jaw Dropping Records, and Jannowitz Records.

Now, this mysterious techno producer is riding a wave of successful releases such as "Occult" and the Fall Free EP to even greater heights this summer while also working to bring Abyss Constellations to live with Mac & Gizmo. Between the onslaught of insane underground grooves, livestream appearances on Insomniac TV, and stunning performances in the face of the pandemic that included a magical set inside the Neon Museum in Las Vegas - it seems as if nothing is stopping SVNF8 on their rise to greatness.

To help further prove that point, SVNF8 swung by to celebrate the summer in their own unique way with a mix that is overflowing with sensational soundscapes to explore. Speaking about the mix itself, they said "being it's the first summer following 2020; there is still so much beauty among the darkness," and after embarking on the 30-minute journey ourselves... we couldn't agree more. Listen closely for some unreleased IDs as well as tracks like "Say Nothing" and a remix of Kaskade and deadmau5's "I Remember" that will simply take your breath away.

Axiom Radio With Drebin - Episode 12 feat. Souya

While Hunter Siegel has carved out space in the scene with his releases since 2013, the recent shift for the Canadian artist that embraces darker techno soundscapes as HNTR has allowed him further explore his sonic reaches. The past few years have seen him release a flurry of tracks under the alias on his imprint, No Neon - and after gaining praise from deadmau5 in 2020 it was only a matter of time before he appeared on mau5trap.

That moment arrived back in May of this year when HNTR teamed up with Elliot Moss to release "Shadows in the Dark" on the renowned label. This melodic house and techno track quickly stole the hearts of those who listened and left them craving for more from the mind of this talented producer. Now, that time has come as he's returned to mau5trap for his latest track, "Searching for Self." This time around, HNTR has looked to Tribe Alexander to provide the hypnotizing vocals as he leads listeners on a journey into the techno realm with a touch of progressive influence along the way.

"My buddy Tribe sent me about 12 vocal demos, this was the second one I listened to and I was instantly hooked by the entrancing repetition of the vocal," HNTR said about the track. "It grabbed me and spoke to me instantly, I wanted to try to use that same feeling in the production to help amplify that feeling of searching for something."

Celebrating the release of "Searching for Self," HNTR spun up a mix to celebrate the beginning of the fall season and help usher in the cooler months. This hour and a half ride is filled with a plethora of his originals and curated selections from the likes of Charles D, Pryda, Avision, Maceo Plex, Victor Ruiz, and more to further emphasize the gray skies and rainy nights ahead.

If you're a fan of bone-shattering dubstep, you should know the name IVORY. The French producer has been gracing speakers and stages with his unique production and high-energy tunes for years. He's had numerous releases on the renowned dubstep labels such as Never Say Die, NSD: Black Label, and of course, Disciple Round Table. The producer's noteworthy projects throughout his musical journey include Dead Space, Beast, and "93 Style" with Virus Syndicate. 

Now, IVORY is gracing fans with his latest release on Never Say Die with his Bleep Bloop EP. While this EP is undoubtedly packed with heavy hitters that listeners will hold near and dear to their hearts, it's also slightly different. IVORY experimented with his sound on Bleep Bloop, pushing forth new styles and mastering techniques.

One of the artists in the techno scene who has continued to push boundaries and explore new reaches is Declan James. Over the years he's crafted up tasty tunes that have graced labels like Enhanced, Armada, and OHM Music, and immersive sets at festivals like EDC Las Vegas for his fans to soak in. Even though the pandemic slowed his ascension to the top he's back and better than ever this year.

Not only did Declan James just drop "New Age Psychosis" on Space Yacht Records' The Black Hole Vol. 1 earlier this month, but he'll also be returning to the neonGARDEN stage at EDC Las Vegas as well. After a stunner of a set at the festival back in 2019, techno lovers flocking to Sin City won't want to miss his performance when he opens on Sunday to help usher in the final day of beats.

While we can only imagine the madness that will ensue, Declan James spun up a mix to give everyone a taste of what's in store and hype everyone up for the weekend ahead. This 30-minute ride is filled to the brim with relentless, hard-hitting techno tunes that will inject a dose of energy directly into your mind, body, and soul, so get prepped for some pure insanity from the mind of this rising star.
