Pharmacy Music's own Julian Noriega, or Triceradrops as the EDM world calls him is ready and waiting for his big moment in the spotlight as he prepares to take Dreamstate SoCal 2016 by storm next week. His specialty is twisted psytrance full of heavy bass lines, alienistic melodies, and fascinating sound bytes. His latest EP called 'Auditory Hallucinations' has been circulating around the airwaves and this insanely infectious EP contains 5 nasty tracks including “A Lucid Nightmare”, “Ronald Raygun”, “Auditory Hallucinations”, “Wave Rider” featuring Krunch and Juno, and “Malice”.

Among the rapid-growing American Hard Dance scene, Water Spirit has nestled themselves a spot in the realm of speedy hardcore music. Over the past few years, they've created a brand new artistic direction for hardcore music that goes far beyond the music, artwork, or visuals and celebrates the simple, but important message to always be yourself.

Water Spirit's artistic style has helped them garner support from the community and big names in the scene alike - most notably Porter Robinson in his Virtual Self performances - to become one of the USA's premier homegrown hard dance artists. Their dedication to their craft and artistic vision is that like no other, which has opened many doors for the producer.

Most recently, this continued dedication paid off in a big way in the form of a booking at EDC Las Vegas this past October on the wasteLAND stage. With so much support behind their project, there's no doubt that Water Spirit will be one of the future stars of hardcore as they showcase a raw and genuine love for the music through every kick drum created.

After performing at the festival, Water Spirit took some time to stop by and reflect on their experience at EDC Las Vegas, their recent releases, the future of the scene, and much more. In addition, they spun a fiery guest mix for us showcasing their influences from genres including hardstyle, psytrance, bass, and of course, hardcore. There has been some serious heat coming out of the house music scene over the past few years from established artists and rising stars alike - and one of the artists who continues to pop up with some absolute stunners is FreeFall. This Los Angeles-based artist didn't begin his journey in the music scene in the realm of dance music, but after years of playing in bands he taught himself how to produce and the rest was history.

Since his emergence in the dance music scene, FreeFall has honed his skills both in the studio and behind the decks. This has led to his appearance on labels including Insomniac's IN / ROTATION, Dim Mak, Armada Music, and Audiophile XXL, with an upcoming release on 40oz Cult on the horizon. During this time he's also taken the stage at festivals including EDC Las Vegas, Beyond Wonderland, and Escape, while also receiving support from beloved brands like Space Yacht.

After catching our ear with his collaboration with Purple Velvet Curtains, "Jungle," back in 2019, and seeing him continue his rise, we knew we needed to sit down with FreeFall to pick his brain and learn more about him. Many rising artists dream of signing their first release to a major label for years while spending countless hours in the studio, pushing boundaries of their sound, and playing every chance they get. But believing in yourself and the process is something else that’s crucial for artists to do in the early days of their career, and that’s something Papa Khan has practiced.

Hailing from Indonesia, Papa Khan has stirred up attention from many bass music lovers over the past few years with his innovative sound design. He quickly began to turn heads with a flurry of releases including Anti-Normal, the Demon EP, “Ancestors,” “Holdin,” and more. This led to brands like Bassrush taking notice of his sound in 2020, as well as Marshmello who signed his track “Rain” to Joytime Collective that further catapulted his career to its next phase.

This year has only seen Papa Khan continue on his path towards greatness in the scene. He dropped “Wounds” earlier this year and more recently caught the attention of Monstercat who released his latest single “The Tide.” His debut track on the imprint delivers his signature color bass sound that tickles the ears while simultaneously showcasing his forward-thinking approach to production.

While still just beginning his music career, it’s clear that Papa Khan is a name that will stick around for years to come. After the release of “The Tide,” we had the chance to catch up with this budding talent to pick his brain about the tune, his beginnings, and more.

For more than a decade, the American Hard Dance scene has slowly been on the rise while making its way from the depths of SoundCloud to the stages of the biggest festivals in the North American circuit. The genre emphasizes creating energetic music and hybrid genres that nobody has ever heard of before, and one artist leading the charge since its earliest days is J. Slai. He's committed himself to bringing something fresh to the scene, while also taking great pride in the fact that his listeners never know what's coming next with every release.

J. Slai's unique style has found itself a home within the hard dance scene, landing releases on Be Weird Be Original, Speed House Movement, and DYEHARD Records, plus countless other self-releases that showcase the eclectic sound of American Hard Dance. The Bay Area-based producer has definitely earned his stripes, becoming a community favorite that is projected to start dotting all of your favorite lineups in 2022 and beyond.

With a tidal wave of momentum behind J. Slai, there's no stopping any time soon for him - and if you don't hop on it, you might just get taken out by the tsunami of energy he brings along with him. Looking to gain some extra insight on this hard dance maestro, we caught up with him to discuss his early beginnings, artistic vision, the future of the hard dance scene in America, and much more.
