Muster what's left of your strength and row yourself to paradise. Awaiting past the shoreline is a world of possibilities, and they call you with a song that both thrills you and leaves you in suspense.

Ben & Vincent's new EP 'Okoa' presented by WAYU Records will launch you into an adventure of a lifetime. Along for the ride, you will find Xique-Xique and Dr Parnassus exquisite remixes that will aid expand the horizons.

'Okoa' influenced by Cristobal Tapia de Veers White Lotus soundtrack and 1950s Exotica music is the curious ferocity deep inside you that launches any wonderous odyssey. The thirst for uncovering the unfamiliar knows it can be satisfied by the call of nature's seducing sounds. Creeping through the wild, you are aware that you are not alone, no matter what your eyes may tell you. Around every corner, under and up above, interesting companions await you. The danger is present throughout, but you thrive in the thick of it.  

Amid adventure, connection blossoms in strange places. 'Aldeia' slithers in like a snake ready to coil around your body but means no harm- not yet. If you are brave enough to saunter in with such confidence then some fun is to be had first. Impish chords play with soft drumming that lures you in, and hypnotic notes put you in a trance. There is little room for escape, but ask yourself, do you want to? 'Aldeia' has a magnetizing Latin influence that courses through the track like passion through your veins and makes you one with the fierce jungle around you.

The time has come to leave your latest connections and continue down the path of discovery. There is a secret that this jungle holds and it wants to entrap you before you have the chance to discover it. 'Moviola' which is a track that's heavily influenced by Gustavo Santaolalla, leads you into a quaint village far from the realities of your world. You are a foreigner in this land, and the choice to enter is daunting. They are suspect of this new character and feel out whether or not you are a real threat to it. The language barrier is a limitation hard to surpass, but you read each other instead. A bond manifests through a small window of familiarity as it's present throughout the music. The human connection proves to be a powerful entity, and it allows you the opportunity to become immersed in their culture and form new ideas of family.

This EP should give you an insight into one of the freshest producers out there at the moment, the German @lukasendhardt. He grew up among the most diverse kinds of big and small percussion instruments since his father is a Latin jazz percussionist. He always have felt connected to rhythms from cultures that are not his own. In one way or another, it has led a life deep in several rhythms. 
His catalogue includes much-loved work; most obvious thing you will hear is the focus on Brazilian rhythms. Lately Lukas had been very fascinated by the religions based on Yoruba traditions, especially Brazilian Candomblé. By the looks of it, we can understand how Babalaô EP was born. In Yoruba culture Babalaô (Babalawo) is the priest dedicated to the worship of Orunmila-Ifá, epiphany of divination. 
In that light, Lukas has created a work peppered with catchy tunes to provide us a cultural extrapolation. Therefore, this is not just about synthesis between two musical cultures but also between relaxing chill out music and highly energetic themes. All highlighted by his own hallucinogenic filter.
His mother, Burga Endhardt, painted the art that draws the cover. We can notice some similarities between EP & artwork: widely warming, organic taste, kind of surrealness too. It includes different layers, natural forms and shapes. We think that is a picture-perfect match.
Since it is deep, dubby, laid-back but always driving, the four tracks are geared for the dance floor. Nevertheless, certain elements reveal a hidden fringe where Lukas are serving contemplative realness. Besides the three original tracks by Lukas, we also have a penetrating perspective channeled in @arutani’s remix, delivered as a striking extra for the listener.
In short, the EP is a useful indicator for where Lukas is at right now stylistically and reflects as a direct correlation with our motto: slow is the new fast and awesome too

The birds got weak and they are afraid that their fate could be determined by the human kind. The equipoise of energy is heavily disturbed and with the last fortitude the birds unite and escape the fatal bond.

for this edition of Quack! (@quackcoletivo) we invited part of the german collective Eigenklang (@eigenklang), Johann Schlaufe and Malauke to join us and not only play a hibrid dj set by themselves but they also performed during the entire night in between the djs, making some experimental live performance with loopstations, toys connected to contact microphones, toy instruments and other antics. and this is my set during that  night. the beginning of it is Johann doing some crazy improv, and during the entire set, he and Malauke inserted layers of loops and soundscapes, spoken words, singing, and also invited part of the public to interact with the set by inserting stuff either by playing around with a kaoscillator, by ringing bells that went through the loopstation with lots of effects, by saying just crazy things on the mic or trying to vocalize during the songs.  during the last part of the set, Johann and Malauke also joined me in a sort of jam using the loopstation and mics and interacting with the songs i was playing, sampling it live, adding some layers of sounds and effects. it was crazy and wonderful to be working together with two amazing and so talented artists and i feel very honored to have done this. of course i had some slips and falls in it, but it was a lovely morning with them and the crowd and this is the raw recording straight from the PA. hope you enjoy!

This is an hour of some songs that I thought might sound nice together — it's also the first time I'm sharing a recorded set. Songs with words that are a little bit softer. Go gently.

1 — Softer Songs With Words

This song was recorded live on a mountaintop overlooking the Los Angeles Valley.

A portion of our live set as we began to warm up for another 2 hours of flight.
As always, thank you for lending us your precious ears.

Indeed, many great performances have been recorded, and we are glad to have them. But I think the greatest performances always elude, the camera, the tape recorder, the pen. They happen in the middle of the night when the musician plays for one special friend under the moonlight, they happen in the dress rehearsal just before the play opens. The fact that improvisation vanishes makes us appreciate that every moment of life is unique - a kiss, a sunset, a dance , a joke. None will ever recur in quite the same way. Each happens only once in the history of the universe. - Stephen Nachmanovitch

This very unique trio of music, souls and minds, is Eduardo Castillo's new LIVE project. Eager to expand and build on his musical reach and scope, Eduardo, has brought these very talented friends and multi instrumental musicians together to explore the potential of each of their own immense talents, only to realize, when playing and listening as an ensemble, a very powerful force came alive. Influenced by sounds and music of all reaches of the planet, and Eduardo's decades of electronic music exploration, the frequencies that are produced by this very unique troupe of musicians, are truly on another level of performance and experience.

Eduardo Castillo’s music encompasses his depth in the study of the industry and influences stemming from a South American and European upbringing. His studies in music compositions, orchestration and opera provide him with a vast understanding of harmonies, dynamics, and musical textures. Eduardo uses a subtle ethnomusicologist’s approach to music. His record collection reads like a music history book. In fact, his eclecticism is quite enticing. Sounds of Jazz, Avant-Garde, Middle Eastern, South American, Afro-Cuban folk, Soul, Funk, and Electronic Minimalism, can be heard in his compositions, his singing, his dj sets, and his playing of instruments, whether in their pure from or intertwined with down, mid and up-tempo electronic treatments. Ultimately, simplicity is what Eduardo strives for. An effort is always made to have fresh, organic sound while inevitably providing touches of technological advances shaping music today, never overwhelming and always sophisticated and tasteful.

Eduardo's mission is to always become a storyteller from beginning to end. Every record he plays has a very important intention. The music in his selections does not just fill time, it weaves in and out with dynamic and texture. The music and his improvisational live shows are brush strokes on a canvas that once he's reached the end, will look like a world of realism and fantasy all in one. He's a master at layering the musical with the technical and the surreal with the real.

Eduardo always leaves an indelible mark with his style and impeccable understanding of his environment.
