Once upon a time, in Paris, a little basement full of colorful clothes of all kinds and women posing in somewhat dubious photos. 
This windowless room marked the beginning of a long friendship between Jeff Lasson (Get A Room!) and Gaetan Rossi (The Elriks). From this friendship, a little seed was born, a seed that took some time to sprout, gently sprinkled with good music and good vibes, to become, a few years later, "Youkounkoun".


It's hard to define Youkounkoun and place them in a box. Influenced by all musical styles, they love to play, compose and edit whatever  their hearts dictate to them.

In December 18 they released their first 12" of late 80's french Balearic edits, on the "Plaisir Partagé" edit label "Edit du Plaisir".
This first output was well received in the scene and has created interest from labels such as "Cult Edits", "Whypeopledance" and "Edit service", with whom they plan to release records later this year.
