Colaboration with Reneessance : @reneessance

This is my first collaboration on Soundcloud. SilvestroDice approached me and asked if he could remix one of my songs. There is something a bit scary about letting someone else play with your creations but after listening to his work with other SC musicians I was impressed with his skill…He's a very talented young man - only 18 and musically intuitive.
 
Believe is a piece that is both calming and uplifting. Although everyone connects with music in a different way, the essence of the music is to give you a sense of hope, to believe in whatever your dreams might be (big or small). I would love to hear comments directly on the tracks for both this collaboration and/or the solo versions about what BELIEVE means to you.

This piece is dedicated to The Really Terrible Orchestra, based in Edinburgh.
UPDATE: This piece is the winning entry of their composition competition and its world premiere will be on 1st April 2017 in Edinburgh!
Constantly inspired by Celtic folk music & classical music, this piece is based on an experimental fusion of both. With the support of a drum set, making this piece unique from other pieces.
This piece is written with the style of an Irish-Scottish jig, with elements of late-Romantic music era. The listeners should imagine themselves noticing the changes of landscapes while travelling from the Scottish Highlands to the West Regions of Ireland.

Een Stedeling Uit Het Dorp (A Citizen From the Village)

‘A Citizen from the Village' is inspired by my experience with moving from a small town to a big city. The city made me partly lose my rest, innocence and purity. losing rest, innocence and purity. 
This can be heard by listening to the pastorale, singing melody that is harmed by the dirtiness of the city. Every time the city flies by like a flashback, the melody loses some purity and beauty.
Finally, nothing is left of the melody and the villager has become a citizen.
